Priyanka Chopra & Nick Jonas’s spon-con wedding also got this week’s People cover

OH MY GOD. Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas also gave their wedding “exclusive” to People Magazine, in addition to the deal they worked out with Vogue Magazine for a digital cover and exclusive photos. People Mag also got a series of exclusives, so I guess I shouldn’t be so shocked that Nick and Priyanka got a cover too. I was wondering just how many deals Priyanka and Nick made around their wedding, and it seems like they easily made hundreds of thousands of dollars from spon-con on social media and deals with various media outlets, brands and more. Nick’s bachelor party was sponsored by Elit vodka, and the Amazon wedding registry – which was published in People – came with a $100K donation to UNICEF. Other companies sponsoring Priyanka and Nick: Ralph Lauren, Longchamp, Tiffany, JBL Audio, Lime Bike (who made custom scooters for all of his groomsmen) and Malibu Rum. So if this People cover story seems especially tacky, that’s because it is.

When singer/actor Nick Jonas proposed to Indian superstar Priyanka Chopra this past summer, the two knew their wedding had to be a meld of their cultures, religions and families.

“Every girl dreams of being a princess on her wedding day,” Chopra, 36, tells PEOPLE exclusively in this week’s cover story. “But I never had a plan about what I wanted it to be.”

The singer, 26, suggested they dream big and opt for not one, but two ceremonies in India to celebrate their different backgrounds. “It melted my heart,” adds the Quantico actress. “Being able to have two big weddings, in India, with our closest family and friends was unbelievably special.”

On Dec. 1, the day after Chopra and Jonas held a Mehendi ceremony, where they were both adorned with henna tattoos, and a Sangeet that night in which both families performed elaborate musical numbers with choreography and costumes, the bride and groom were married in a Western ceremony on the palace’s lawn. As a string quartet played, Chopra, wearing a hand-beaded and embroidered Ralph Lauren gown with a stunning 75-foot long veil, was escorted down the aisle by her mother Madhu (her father Ashok died of cancer in 2013).

“It was all tears. All tears,” says the actress, who carried a bouquet of hyacinths and tuberoses designed by Jenya Flowers (NYC), which created the floral arrangements for the entire wedding party. “I could not hold it in. I think I was nervous and scared. But as soon as the curtains opened, and I saw his face it was just like everything settled and I knew I was making the best decision of my life.”

[From People]

I don’t really have anything to say. As someone who liked them separately, I’m really disappointed in how they did all of this. It makes me wonder… what companies will sponsor their divorce? Legal Zoom? Lawyers.com? Will Ralph Lauren design exclusive lewks for Priyanka to get pap’d coming in and out of the courthouse?

Toni Braxton’s Ex-Husband Fires Back In Response To Her ‘Red Table Talk’ Claims About Alimony, Divorce

Toni Braxton’s ex-husband Keri Lewis wasn’t too pleased with her comments about their divorce and the alimony payments he received. So, he’s decided to fire back with a response to her recent discussion about everything. The latest confusion between Toni and Keri began with her recent talk show appearance.

A couple of days ago, Toni Braxton turned heads with her intimate chat with her longtime friend, Jada Pinkett-Smith on Red Table Talk. For the first time, Toni Braxton spoke in great detail about her divorce from Mint Condition musician Keri Lewis. At the time, the couple’s divorce came as quite a shock to fans because they’d been together more than 12 years and, on the outside, they didn’t appear to have marital problems.

But during the Red Table Talk discussion, Toni Braxton shed light on various aspects of the marriage fans knew nothing about. As previously reported on Inquisitr, the Grammy Award-winning singer even opened up about their divorce and the alimony payments she had to make to Keri despite her inability to work due to complications of Lupus.

Toni Braxton admitted paying alimony left her angry. Describing men as “b***hes,” the singer also compared herself to other celebrity women, like Halle Berry and Mary J. Blige, who ultimately ended up making alimony payments to their ex-husband.

“I went through this phase of, ‘oooh, men are the new b*tches!’ That’s how I felt. That’s what I was so angry about.”

As expected, Toni’s piercing words have sparked a heated debate with social media users dissecting her statement. While some people have described Toni’s words as bashing, others noted that she didn’t directly refer to her ex-husband in that context because the statement was generalized. Now, Keri Lewis is offering a response to Toni Braxton’s controversial perspective and description of divorced men.

In light of my ex-wife’s @ToniBraxton comments on @RedTableTalk regarding our ‘divorce; men receiving alimony from women’… I feel the need to address and shed light on the matter, as the impression is being made that I came for her finances and/or wasn’t there for Toni. Let me start by saying that I really loved Toni!… Anyone who was around during the time of our marriage would attest to that. In addition, when she became ill, I did everything I could to take care of her, and we tried for a long time to put things back together, but in the end, we could not. To give insight on the alimony payments, Toni’s attorneys suggested she have a prenuptial agreement put in place prior to our wedding, and they drafted one as they saw fit. Because of my love for her and being optimistic of marriage lasting forever, I didn’t feel the need to have an attorney, as I wasn’t going to contest anything in the prenup. Fast-forward to 2012 after separating, I moved out and at some point later, Toni mentioned to me that the payments set in the prenup would start being deposited into my account. I received alimony for around 3 years between 2012 and 2014. Now, intentionally or not, Toni’s comments have left people with the feeling that we had some sort of legal battle that resulted in her having to pay alimony, and therefore share the likes of @halleberry, @therealmaryjblige, and @britneyspears. With all due respect, I don’t see our situation in the same light. I didn’t even use an attorney in our divorce (I also don’t recommend that to anyone). In addition, while I often did not agree with the creative liberties that were taken in representing our relationship (Toni’s Book, Lifetime movie, Braxton Family Values, RedTableTalk), we are raising two sons and it can NEVER be to the degree of her referencing ME as a bitch.. that’s a problem!. I’m definitely open for the discussion on women paying alimony to men, and vice versa, as I do have mixed feelings about it, and at the end of the day, every situation is different. As for @RedTableTalk, Congratulations @JadaPinkettSmith. The show is INCREDIBLE, and the conversations are needed!!

A post shared by Keri Lewis (@_keri_lewis_) on

According to The Jasmine Brand, Keri definitely isn’t happy about Toni’s statement. Shortly after the Red Table Talk discussion, Keri took to Instagram with a lengthy response to Toni’s words. The famed musician offered his side of the story sharing details about their marriage and the alimony payments from his perspective. “I feel the need to address and shed light on the matter, as the impression is being made that I came for her finances and/or wasn’t there for Toni,” Keri began.

“To give insight on the alimony payments, Toni’s attorneys suggested she have a prenuptial agreement put in place prior to our wedding, and they drafted one as they saw fit. I didn’t even use an attorney in our divorce.”

Like many others, he also took the statement as a direct jab. Keri considered that statement to be completely unacceptable. In addition, while I often did not agree with the creative liberties that were taken in representing our relationship (Toni’s Book, Lifetime movie, Braxton Family Values, RedTableTalk), we are raising two sons and it can NEVER be to the degree of her referencing ME as a b***h… that’s a problem.”

Despite Toni Braxton’s comments, she did admit she and Keri Lewis are still very much “family” spending holidays together for the sake of their children.

Colton Underwood Spoofs the '40-Year-Old-Virgin' in New 'Bachelor' Poster

ABC is pulling out all the stops for the upcoming season of The Bachelor with Colton Underwood. The network released the newest promo image for the reality dating show on Monday, December 3 — and it references Underwood’s virginity.

The photo is almost identical to the movie poster for The 40-Year-Old Virgin, with Steve Carell replaced by Underwood, 26, holding a red rose.

“The new poster for this season of @bachelorabc looks really familiar,” Judd Apatow, who directed the 2005 comedy, shared on Instagram. “I don’t remember Steve having pecs.”

Underwood replied to Apatow in a hilarious tweet of his own. “Hey @JuddApatow does this mean I have to wax my chest now?” he wrote, referring to the famous scene in the film where Carell’s character heads to a salon to get manscaped — and yells, “Kelly Clarkson!” — before a date in hopes of losing his virginity.

The NFL free agent — who first appeared on Becca Kufrin’s season of The Bachelorette — has been open about his calibacy, making it a big part of the promos surrounding his season.

This isn’t the first time ABC has put Underwood’s virginity front and center while promoting season 21 of the show. The network released the first key art in November alongside a slogan that read, “What does he have to lose?”

Host Chris Harrison opened up about Underwood’s status that same month, revealing to Extra that the athlete’s “V-card is still intact.”

Harrison, 47, added: “Will it be in the next couple weeks? I don’t know. I think it will be put to the test” as they head to the fantasy suite overnight dates.

Earlier this month, Harrison spoke exclusively to Us Weekly about Underwood’s upcoming season. “What I’m really excited about, honestly, obviously, much has been made about his virginity. I’m excited for Colton, for me, for the show, for fans to get beyond the cocktail joke of it all,” he told Us at the 2018 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball. “I said this to Colton. I said, ‘It’s not funny.’ I said, ‘You’ve got to be tired of this.’ So it was compelling to me to dive into why, because things weren’t adding up, and I don’t think things added up for a lot of people. So for him to open up and to talk about why, and to let all of us in this season, which he does, is fascinating.

The two-hour premiere of season 21 of The Bachelor airs on ABC Monday, January 7, at 8 p.m. ET.

How to Deal With "The Panic and Horror That Is Being a Human Right Now," According to Comedian Aparna Nancherla

Not to brag, but I’ve always been a nervous creature. From a very young age I’ve curated fears the way my peers cultivated hobbies. At various points my phobia playlist had in rotation: swallowing pills, turning on the stove, fireworks, dogs, and speaking to people who were not in my immediate family.

As humans we naturally grow more wary and cautious with age. It’s biology. Things that didn’t faze us then faze us now: heights, dying, milk chocolate. You get the existential picture. But I’ve always been a rebel, a hipster of fear. I was scared before it was trending. Imagine my surprise, then, when the November 2016 election results descended on all of us like Stephen King’s The Mist and suddenly I found myself surrounded by liberal-bubble peers freaking out at a level I could only acknowledge as, well, deeply familiar. “Hey,” I thought. “Welcome to the neighborhood! Jump into the hot tub — the water’s freezing!” Despite my slight resentment of this mental gentrification, I did my best to show folks around. Unfortunately, it did not turn out to be a temporary fad in the vein of drop-crotch onesies. Anxiety has decided it’s feeling downright zeitgeisty these days. In fact, for 2019, I’m working on tackling my newest fear: maintaining follow-up eye contact after the initial eye contact with a new acquaintance.

So what can be done? I wish there were a magic formula for Netflix and chilling your way through the panic and horror that is being a living, breathing human right now. Though, hey, there is always The Great British Bake Off for a temporary scone haze. But realistically speaking (I know, I know, we are living in a post-reality era, but still), I would encourage you to follow the principles my fear tries to “accidentally” make me forget. These are simple, no-frills strategies, like being present and showing up for what you can, like your work and your friends and your trivia night and your cat. Limit your phone time and consumption of Internet content, whether that’s social media, the 24-hour news cycle, or both. Our smartphones now feel like baby monitors that we should constantly be checking, but they can quickly turn into triggers for feelings of fear, isolation, sadness, despair, helplessness, anger, and frustration. Make time to see people in person, even if that’s just choosing to video chat versus texting — it can make a huge difference. Get involved with your community, whether that’s on a micro or a macro level. Donate to an organization that’s doing important work, like Planned Parenthood, RAICES (the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services), or the International Rescue Committee. Or volunteer to be a Big Brother or Sister, or sign up at a phone bank to get people registered to vote. There’s no shortage of ways to get out of your own head.

RELATED: Emma Stone Opens Up About Living With Anxiety

I have tried to follow many of the things on this list myself, to varying degrees of effectiveness. But when all else fails, I have found that rubbing a dog’s belly is a great solution. I am also not too proud to say I have resorted to YouTubing “the sound of a waterfall.” Oh, and I’ve noticed that doing very basic things like drinking enough water and exercising can be very helpful self-care. And I almost forgot! I’ve been regularly coloring in a coloring book full of dogs that my friend got me, and I’ve broken pretty much each and every tip of my colored pencils, but that just means it’s working.

Lastly, you can make friends with your own head. Everyone is prequalified to go to therapy, start a regular practice of meditation or mindfulness, write in a journal, or mentally take a few breaths every so often (focus on the exhale part). Often the root cause of anxiety is feeling as if you should be prepared for the worst, but that’s no excuse to stop living the best you can. Anxiety might not always feel like your friend, but at the very least it’s a frenemy. It means well, but so do you, and right now, you’re busy buying new succulents.

Nancherla appears in the second season of Netflix’s The Standups and on Comedy Central’s Corporate.

Joy Behar under fire for snapping at Meghan McCain when asked not to bash Trump during George H.W. Bush tribute

Behar vs. McCain: ‘The View’ co-hosts erupt over praising ’41’, not trashing Trump

“The View” star Joy Behar erupted when colleague Meghan McCain attempted to keep the show focused on honoring the late President George H.W. Bush, instead of Behar’s favorite punching bag, President Donald Trump.

Joy Behar is taking some heat for remarks she made during a segment paying tribute to the late President George H.W. Bush on “The View.”

On Monday morning, the liberal comedian invoked President Trump as she was praising the 41st president’s policy on pollution and the Clean Air Act Amendments his administration passed in 1990, something she thought “wasn’t picked up” by many other since his passing.

Behar was quick to attack the current president for his position on the issue. “This president that we have now is trying to unravel everything that he did and Obama did,” she said. “And if I ever become a one-issue voter, it will be about pollution and the greenhouse effect.”

Conservative co-host Meghan McCain quickly jumped in and said, "I don’t want to talk about Trump. We’re honoring a great president who has passed.”

“Excuse me a second, please!” Behar exclaimed, to which McCain replied that she wasn’t “interested” in hearing about her one-issue position, which led to a fiery exchange between the two, as Whoopi Goldberg abruptly ended the segment before a commercial break.

NewsBusters managing editor Curtis Houck told Fox News that Behar’s remark during the Bush tribute was a “microcosm” of the media’s “permanent obsession” with Trump.

“Joy Behar’s insistence that the Bush tribute center around Trump was a microcosm of the media’s permanent obsession with the current president, showing an embarrassing inability to cover stories or pay tribute to people like George H. W. Bush or John McCain without their cases of Trump Derangement Syndrome breaking through,” Houck said.

Mediaite editor Caleb Howe agreed that there was an “obsession” that was made apparent by Behar.

“Behar doesn’t even know what she did wrong,” Howe said. “Like a cat person who can’t smell the litter box.”

Meanwhile, Joe Concha, media reporter from The Hill, suggested that Behar should take her criticisms to her colleague Goldberg, who admitted last week during a discussion on climate change that she doesn’t “walk on water” since she takes private jets because she doesn’t want to “be on a plane” where she has to talk to “a million people.”

“The point of the segment was to honor George H.W. Bush and his extraordinary life and achievements while serving his country in a myriad of ways,” Concha told Fox News. “Broaching Trump, like someone needing to reach a daily criticism quota was a disservice to Bush.”

Houck expressed a similar sentiment, saying that McCain’s reaction to Behar “symbolized the frustration” many Americans have regarding a “fixation” with Trump, especially in news stories where he’s mostly a “minor player.”

"The View" co-host Goldberg alluded to the current president at the beginning of the segment, acknowledging the comparison between him and Bush 41 “puts everybody in a different perspective” and reminds everyone “how you can still not agree with somebody but be respectful of somebody,” pointing to his bond with his predecessor, former President Bill Clinton.

Many on Twitter were quick to call out Behar's remarks.

While others felt that McCain was wrong in interrupting Behar.

Behar also complimented H.W. Bush on Monday's show, saying it seemed like he came from a “loving, kind place.”

Tyler Baltierra Wishes He Had Sex With More Women Before Marrying Catelynn Lowell

Tyler Baltierra told his wife Catelynn Lowell he is separating from her after she announced her pregnancy. On this week’s Teen Mom OG, he insisted a reason they’re having marital issues is because he has only been with her and one other woman.

On the episode, Baltierra’s father Butch visited him from rehab. When asked if their daughter, who they are naming Tezlee, was planned, Baltierra responded, “F**k no!”

“I’m not going to bring no innocent kid into this s**t,” he said. “Does that stop or hinder the process we’re doing? Absolutely not. This new house is going to be done. Once that happens, that’s when we’re going to do our trial separation. We’re going to live separate.”

PHOTOS: Inside ‘Teen Mom OG’s Nastiest Feuds EVER

Baltierra then asked his son, “You’ve only been with two women and you’re 27 years old. Does that play a factor? Do you think about that? I wish I had been with more women?”

Baltierra shockingly responded, “Yeah! I want Cate when we were 20, 21, 19…”

Despite his regrets, he insisted he will figure out a way to be “supportive” without being “destructive” to himself.

Also on the episode, Bristol Palin feels bad that her son Tripp no longer has a relationship with his stepfather Dakota Meyer after their bitter divorce.

“Is it weird not having Dakota coach your football?” Palin asked her son. “I don’t want you to be affected by anything that goes on. I want you to know if you want to have a relationship with him, I’m all for it. He was a big part of your life. If you miss him or if you want him to be part of your life you just tell me. Do you want to see Dakota? Or do you not care?”

Although her son was hesitant at first, he ultimately decided not to reach out to Meyer.

When a friend asked Meyer about his relationship with Tripp, he responded that he “loves Tripp to death” because he was his “first kid.” But he insisted it is up to Palin.

“I have no rights to him,” Meyer said. “I don’t [call him] because I don’t want to confuse him. I don’t know what his mom is telling him. I just worry if I reach out and try to build a relationship and go forward… I would be doing more harm than anything to him. I’m here if he needs me.”

PHOTOS: New ‘Teen Mom OG’ Cast Member Cheyenne Floyd Begins Filming Despite Co-Star Outrage

Although Meyer was trying to protect her son with ex Levi Johnston, she insisted he is hurting him more.

“I think Tripp is a lot more hurt than he lets on,” Palin said. “He is so protective of me he doesn’t want anything to do with someone who’s done all this stuff that’s gone on. That was his dad for so long and now he’s out of his life. This affects more than his own kids… it affects Tripp too. My son is suffering. If he wanted a relationship with Tripp he would’ve already gone and got it.”

As for Maci Bookout, she gets an update on her baby daddy Ryan Edwards. As Radar exclusively reported, he entered rehab for drug abuse. He checked out in November after 90 days.

“He’s been really good,” Edwards’ mom Jen told Bookout. “He has his ups and downs of wanting to be home.”

Later on in the episode, Edwards’ wife Mackenzie gave birth to their son Jagger. Edwards missed the birth of his son, as Radar reported, but Skyped in.

Despite Bookout’s feud with Edwards and his wife, she vowed to make sure Bentley has a close relationship with his new half-brother.

“We’re going to do our best to make sure he has the chance to have the same relationship as he does Jade and Maverick,” Bookout said of her kids Jayde, 3, and Maverick, 2, with husband Taylor McKinney. “Your sibling is your ride or die. We’re adults. We can all put our bulls**t aside for them to spend time with their siblings.”

Also on the episode, Cheyenne Floyd and her baby daddy Cory Wharton were asked to be godparents at her sister’s baby shower.

“Corey we’re parents again,” she told him. “Now you’re really stuck with me!”

After seeing Wharton with her family, Floyd began to develop feelings for him.

“I love our relationship, I love how we parent, I love how we talk everyday,” she said. “At what point do I separate that verse my feelings for him? I don’t know what to do… I don’t know how to feel. My head is so mixed up.”

And finally Amber Portwood teaches her daughter Leah how to shave her legs. She asks Leah’s stepmother Kristina to help her.

“I thought it would be a good idea if Kristina was a part of it,” she said. “I am her mother. Kristina is not her mother, but she is a huge part of Leah’s life.”

After the mother-daughter moment, Portwood opened up about being “sad” that her daughter never wants to visit her anymore.

“I feel like my past creeps up behind me with her,” she said. “The damage I’m trying to fix is being there for her. Trying to stay healthy for her.”

As readers know, Portwood was in and out of rehab and prison throughout Leah’s life because of drug issues.

“I do understand my past and her dealing with all that stuff,” she said. “No matter what I’m still going to be here for her.”

The second ‘Captain Marvel’ trailer dropped: let the ’90s wash over you

If Captain Marvel flops, do you think Marvel will ever allow a female lead in any of their movies ever again? I’m not saying Captain Marvel will flop, this is merely a thought exercise. I think Marvel is really only giving this “female lead” thing one shot to succeed or fail. And to their credit, I do think Marvel has put a lot of money behind Captain Marvel, and they’ll continue to put a lot of money behind her. During Monday Night Football, Marvel debuted the second trailer for Captain Marvel. At least now I’m starting to understand her backstory a little bit (the first trailer was confusing AF for non-comic readers):

It needs more Jude Law, right? Say what you will about Jude, but I’m VERY interested in seeing what he does when he’s getting Marvel paychecks. And what sort of anti-ageing cream is Samuel L.Jackson using?? He looks younger without facial hair, true, but the man is 69 YEARS OLD. It’s wrong that he looks the same now as he did when he was really making movies in the ‘90s. As for Brie Larson… I think she looks cool. What I enjoy about this is that it’s set in 1995 and Brie is SOOOO the kind of actress who would have been popular in the ‘90s. I’m just saying, it fits. Also: that cat is super-cute.
