I'm A Celebrity's Emily Atack reveals huge crush on Jamie Redknapp and jokes she'll be Harry's new daughter-in-law

Inbetweeners star Emily, 28, revealed her crush to the legendary football manager, 71, as some of the stars chatted about other famous people who were in their families.

Actress Emily asked ex sportsman Harry if his former footballer son Jamie, 45, was single, joking: “Ooh imagine, Emily Redknapp, I would make a really good daughter in law.”

And Harry seemed to be on board, telling her: “You would be fantastic there is no doubt about that Emily.”

She reassured him: “I’m only messing around,” before miming for Jamie to call her.

Jamie was previously married to former pop star Louise, 44, but their union ended last year.

Soccer pundit Jamie was dating girlfriend Julia Restoin Roitfeld earlier this year but he is now single.

Emily’s lust for Jamie came about as she and her campmates chatted about their celebrity family members on the show.

Former EastEnders actress Rita Simons, 41, is related to business magnate and Apprentice boss Alan Sugar, 71.

Rita said: “It was my intention to be an actor and a performer which is what I do and how can Alan help me do that?”, prompting Emily to ask: “Is this Alan Sugar? I only found this out the other day.”

“It’s all anyone ever asks me, I’m so surprised you didn’t know, I get so many people saying did I get my job on EastEnders because of him but no, I auditioned for four weeks,” Rita told her.

She later added in the Bush Telegraph: “I think people are quick to say you got a leg up but just like Harry with Jamie, you can’t give someone a leg up if they are crap.”

Emily, who is related to Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney and whose mother is Spitting Image star Kate Robbins, told her pals Down Under how her whole family was in showbiz.

She explained: “A bunch of show offs, I don’t think there is a single person in my family who has a real job.

“Christmas Day is definitely fun. I had comments when I was younger saying I’d only get into it because of my family. I’m related to a Beatle for goodness sake!”

She continued: “Paul McCartney is my grandma’s cousin. She essentially helped raise him because his mum died when he was really young.

“He and John Lennon started up their first band in my grandparent’s garage. He’s lovely and Stella and Mary are lovely.”

You Won't Believe How Much Netflix Is Paying for Friends

Warner Bros.

Ross, Monica, Chandler, Phoebe, Joey and Rachel will still be there for you on Netflix after the streaming service scared Friends fans with a January 1, 2019 expiration date on the beloved show’s details page. And it’s costing Netflix a pretty penny to keep Friends streaming for the next year, according to The New York Times.

In a new report, The Times says the streaming service has shelled out around $100 million to keep the 10-season show streaming for 2019. Yes, $100 million. This number came from two people with direct knowledge of the matter, according to The New York Times.

10 Secrets From the Friends Set Revealed

However, after 2019? That’s another question. WarnerMedia, the owner of Friends, could give all 10 seasons to parent company AT&T’s new streaming service as of 2020.

Fans were irate when the expiration date appeared on the Friends page. After a day of social media backlash, Netflix announced Friends would remain on the platform for the year, a gift from the Holiday Armadillo.

The fan-favorite series has been streaming on Netflix since 2015, the deal to get it there cost around $30 million, according to the NY Times.

Lofty costs are nothing new to Friends. Remember when the cast—Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc and David Scwhimmer—decided to negotiate salaries together as of the third season? This pact got them all the way up to $1 million an episode for seasons nine and 10.

Stream Friends in its entirety—while you still can—only on Netflix…through 2019.

Do the Laginas Own Oak Island? 4 Facts About the Mysterious Money Pit – The Cheat Sheet

There are a lot of mysteries surrounding Oak Island — including its ownership. In the past, the private island belonged to a handful of treasure hunters and fortune seekers, but in 2005 it went on the market. Since then, brothers Rick and Marty Lagina have had close connections to the island, as they hunt for treasure on the History Channel’s hit series, The Curse of Oak Island. Do the Laginas own Oak Island? Find out, ahead.

Fans often wonder: Do the Laginas own Oak Island? | History Channel

Do the Laginas own Oak Island?

Marty and Rick Lagina don’t own Oak Island in its entirety. Instead, the brothers are involved in a business partnership with Craig Tester, Dan Blankenship (who has owned a portion of the island since before it sold in 2005), and Alan K. Kostrzewa under the Oak Island Tours Incorporated. The business is said to own around 78% of the island.

In addition to its ownership, the business also offers select tours of the island, where fans and history buffs alike can explore parts of the island and do some treasure hunting of their own.

The remaining 22% of the island is owned by other private owners, which you occasionally hear Rick, Marty, and the rest of The Curse of Oak Island cast mention on the show.

Facts about ‘The Curse of Oak Island’

With five seasons under their belt (and a sixth season currently airing), it seems the cast of The Curse of Oak Island are a lot closer to finding their treasure. Here are some of the most interesting things about the series and the mysterious Money Pit that the Laginas and their business partners hope to uncover.

1. Permits were hard for the brothers to obtain

As with any historical plot of land, obtaining permits for The Curse of Oak Island operation was understandably difficult. Marty and Rick Lagina reportedly began prepping for the show in 2012, two years before the series aired. With immense effort, they managed to lock down the right permits for both filming and treasure hunting.

2. Rick Lagina has been interested in the Oak Island treasure since 1965

When Rick Lagina was a young boy, he became obsessed with Oak Island and the potential treasure buried there. He continued his obsession into adulthood and when the time was right — and the property became available — convinced his brother to help him find the Oak Island treasure.

3. Marty owns a vineyard and wind turbine company

With a perceived net worth of around $100 million, Marty Lagina has made a name for himself in the business world. In addition to his connection to Oak Island Tours Incorporated, Marty Lagina owns a vineyard in Traverse City, Michigan and a wind turbine company that focuses on green energy.

4. Rick is a retired postal worker

Unlike his brother, Rick is not a businessman. However, he has since become one after becoming part owner of the Oak Island Tours Incorporated. Rick is a retired postal worker and today spends much of his time — especially the summer months — determining news strategies for the Oak Island treasure hunt.

Battlestar Galactica: Tricia Helfer to host 15th anniversary podcast

The critically acclaimed sci-fi series Battlestar Galactica is celebrating its 15th anniversary with a new deep-dive podcast featuring an original cast member.

Star Tricia Helfer, who played the android Number Six, and journalist/EW alum/Castle Rock writer Marc Bernardin will co-host SYFY WIRE’s new podcast Battlestar Galaticast, which launches two days before the drama’s anniversary on Dec. 11.

On the podcast, Helfer and Bernardin will rewatch the entire miniseries that launched the reboot, and then each future installment will focus on one specific episode from the first season. Along the way, the two will discuss the show’s themes, and Helfer will reveal some behind-the-scenes knowledge from her time on the series. Fans can also expect members of the cast and crew to drop by and share their memories of the show, too.

“I’m excited to delve back into the BSG universe after so many years,” said Helfer in a statement. “To watch each episode and break it down like the viewers experienced it is a totally new experience for me as I never sat down and watched it simply from start to finish. Watching it now with Marc, who covered the series at the time for Entertainment Weekly, is giving me a whole new appreciation.”

Check out the audio trailer for the podcast below:

Executive produced by Outlander‘s Ronald D. Moore, Battlestar Galactica took place in the distant future where the Cylons, a race of androids, launched a devastating attack on a colonial civilization, and the last remaining human survivors took to outer space in a fleet of ships led by the Galactica, a military vessel. The four-season-long series was a reboot of the 1978 ABC show of the same name, and took the events of 9/11 as one of its inspirations. It also starred Edward James Olmos, Mary McDonnell, Katee Sackhoff, Grace Park, and more.

First ‘Watership Down’ Trailer Promises a Harrrowing Rabbit Adventure

“When they catch you, they will kill you,” the first trailer for the animated “Watership Down” miniseries intones. “But first, they must catch you.”
That’s a dark tone for a tale about rabbits, but it was set by Richard Adams’ seminal adventure novel. Netflix and BBC One collaborated on this miniseries, which features a star-studded voice cast led by James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, and Olivia Colman.
The story follows a group of rabbits that flee the intrusion of man and the destruction of their warren. Brothers Hazel (McAvoy) and Fiver (Hoult) lead them through the harrowing trials of predators and adversaries as they seek an idyllic new home.
The trailer gives off an appropriately epic (and ominous) vibe, keeping in line with the original novel. This is no warm-and-fuzzy kids’ tale.
“Watership Down” will premiere  December 23 on Netflix, while BBC One will air it in the U.K. from December 22-23.

Will 'Blue Bloods' Star, Tom Selleck Ever Do a Guest Appearance on 'Magnum'?

Tom Selleck on Blue Bloods | CBS

The Blue Bloods star got his fame in the ’80s on television. That was really with his role on Magnum P.I., but people might be shocked to find out that the actor has surpassed the number of episodes he did on that show on Blue Bloods. So Tom Selleck has certainly moved on but will he ever do a guest appearance on the reboot, Magnum? Here is everything you need to know about his answer.

Tom Selleck said he won’t appear on Magnum ‘but I wish them the best’

Tom Selleck in Magnum, P.I. | CBS

Tom Selleck starred in Magnum P.I. where he was private investigator Thomas Magnum living in Hawaii. The show ran from 1980 to 1988 and it’s one of those iconic ’80s shows. So it was interesting when it was announced that it was going to be rebooted and Jay Hernandez is starring in it.

The original star has moved on to play Frank Reagan on Blue Bloods. But will he ever make a fun appearance on Magnum? It looks like the answer is no. “Fans would like a guest spot from me,” Selleck told TV Insider. He then added that the new show “will never be what in my fantasy world I would make it to be. I just stepped back and said, ‘I won’t get in the way.’ I have an obligation to my version, and [producer Peter Lenkov is] going to do his own take, but I wish them the best.”

The opportunity for Selleck to be part of the reboot was certainly there. He also had the chance to shoot down the idea since the reboot is done by the same network as his new show. “CBS was nice enough to include me in a meeting,” Selleck told Parade. “They said, ‘We won’t do this if you really have a problem with it.’ I said, ‘I did my own show and I’m very proud of it. I wish you well.’”

Selleck said his time on Magnum P.I. taught him a lesson he used for Blue Bloods

A family dinner on Blue Bloods | CBS

The actor’s character in Magnum P.I. helped Selleck prepare for Blue Bloods in many ways. But Tom Selleck revealed a very specific lesson he has taken with him.

He said he learned it’s more important to focus on people than procedural on cop dramas. “That was, to me, the lesson of Magnum. I was not ever tired of it,” explained Selleck to TV Insider.

Selleck also admitted that when the reboot was coming to television, he wondered if his new show would get lost in the mix. Instead, CBS celebrated him being on television for 50 years now.

“CBS was nice enough to point that out,” Selleck told Parade “which was very good for us, because I didn’t want Blue Bloods lost in all the Magnum hype. CBS singled out when I did episode 163 of Blue Bloods, which tied me with Magnum, and made a big deal out of it.”

So sadly, fans of the reboot and the original Magnum will probably never see their paths cross on television. But it is interesting that Selleck is still playing a person in law enforcement all these years later and he claims to help greenlight the new reboot.

Ryan Seacrest Thinks He Should Join ‘Riverdale’ Cast Along With Kelly Ripa

During an interview at KIIS FM’s iHeartRadio Jingle Ball presented by Capital One last week, Ryan Seacrest revealed that he would like a role on the CW series Riverdale along with his Live With Kelly and Ryan co-host Kelly Ripa. The announcement that Ripa would be joining the series came early last month.

“I’m trying to get discovered!” Seacrest joked in his chat with Entertainment Tonight.

He’s not entirely sure how he would be incorporated into the series, though. He just knows that he wants in.

“I don’t know what part I would play. I could be some sort of an assistant or something… All the fog would come in,” Seacrest joked.

Despite the fact that he’s busy with his live talk show and hosting American Idol, which just concluded Season 16 in May, Seacrest is sure that he’ll get a call to join the Riverdale cast soon enough.

“I’m ready, Riverdale. Waiting. My phone is charged,” he said.

He also said that Riverdale has become a family affair for Ripa and it’s “time for the other family” (her family at Live) to get a chance.

It is true that Ripa will be following in the footsteps of family with her upcoming role in the teen drama series. Her husband Mark Consuelos is a regular on the series, having played a lead character’s father, Hiram Lodge, since Season 2. The show is now in its third season, according to Express.

Consuelos and Ripa’s son, Michael Consuelos, also recently appeared as a guest on the show to portray a younger version of his father’s character for one episode.

Ripa announced her upcoming role via Instagram on November 8. She shared a photo of herself sitting in a big chair in what looks to be a library or study. She sported a short black dress and held a silver-tipped cane above her lap.

“It’s a family affair…Hiram’s mistress. 23 years of auditioning for a role I was born to play. Coming soon to @theCWriverdale,” she wrote in the caption.

Ripa will reportedly guest star as Mrs. Mulwray, a character the CW described as “confident and tough,” according to Entertainment Weekly. Mrs. Mulwray will find herself wrapped up in a huge conspiracy as she takes on a relationship with Hiram Lodge, who plays a modern-day mobster villain on the show.

Ripa’s character name is reportedly borrowed from Faye Dunaway’s Oscar-nominated role in in the 1974 film Chinatown. Dunaway played Evelyn Mulwray, another femme fatale who caught herself in a crazy conspiracy.
