Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Son Shows Resemblance to Dad by Recreating Iconic Bodybuilding Pose

AceShowbizJoseph Baena is following in his famous father’s footsteps. On Thursday, January 17, the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger shared a photo of him recreating the iconic bodybuilding pose “The Terminator” star struck back in 1976 after winning Mr. Olympia for sixth consecutive time.

In an Instagram post captioned “Just a lil thicc,” the 21-year-old stripped down to a pair of black shorts and gray converse sneakers, and flexed his muscles. The picture taken inside a gym were quick to garner attentions from his followers with one noticing the family resemblance, “Like father so son.”

Another follower pointed out, “Apple doesn’t fall far.” One other user praised, “Flawless re-creation! Don’t forget to forge your own legacy too!” A fourth wrote, “The next Olympian in bodybuilding..,” as a fifth noted, “In the genes for sure, give your old man a run for his money, the sky’s the limit!”

This was not the first time Joseph had tried to imitate his father’s pose. Back in late November 2018, he posted a series of videos in an Instagram post. In the clips, he could be seen showing off his bulging biceps to the camera and posing like his father did. “It’s only the beginning. #progress #classicphysique @seancaseyfitness,” he captioned the post.

Joseph is Arnold’s son from Mildred Baena, a former housekeeper whom he had an affair with. Back in July 2018, he posted a birthday tribute to the former California governor using a photo of them posing in front of Gold’s Gym. “Happy Birthday to the man that’s always pumped! Love you dad,” he captioned the photo, along with confetti emoji.

In return, Arnold celebrated Joseph’s latest birthday by reusing their photo and added a banner that read “Happy 21st Birthday!” The 71-year-old actor-turned-politician wrote in accompaniment, “It’s been fantastic to watch you pump up your muscles and your mind this year and I can’t wait to see what’s next. I’m proud of you and I love you!”

Other than Joseph, Arnold also has four children from his previous marriage to Maria Shriver; 29-year-old Katherine, 27-year-old Christina, 25-year-old Patrick, and 21-year-old Christopher. Katherine herself has recently got engaged to “Guardians of the Galaxy” star Chris Pratt.

Sports retailer Decathlon opens 24-hour Kallang store

A robot that takes inventory in a 24-hour store, an indoor patch of land with four different surfaces to test running shoes, and an in-store conveyor belt that transports products as soon as they are ordered online.

These features might have once been the stuff of imagination, but they now exist at French sporting goods retailer Decathlon’s largest and most advanced Singapore store, which opens today.

Called the Decathlon Singapore Lab and located in Stadium Boulevard, the store is set to shake up the shopping experience in Singapore with its 5,000 sq m of retail space, which includes areas such as a hiking path with a gravel surface for the testing of products in-store.

The store also hosts an Active Health Lab in partnership with Sport Singapore, where users can take a free health assessment.

There are free-to-play areas next to the store as well, and a conveyor belt manages online orders so that Decathlon can deliver its complete range of products in just two hours in Singapore. Shoppers can also order online and collect their items at their preferred store within two hours for free.

Decathlon Singapore chief executive Yves Claude yesterday said the store has been named Decathlon Singapore Lab “because a lab is a disruptive and innovative place where we test new solutions”.

Decathlon Singapore chief executive Yves Claude yesterday said the store has been named Decathlon Singapore Lab “because a lab is a disruptive and innovative place where we test new solutions”.

“We have to give new reasons for customers to come back to our store,” he said at the media launch.

The Decathlon Singapore Lab is the fourth Decathlon Experience store here. Its 4,000 sq m showroom in Joo Koon used to be the biggest. The company also has two click-and-collect stores.

In 2017, it welcomed two million visitors to its three stores at Viva Business Park in Bedok, City Square Mall and Fairprice Hub in Joo Koon.

Last May, during the signing of the memorandum of understanding between Decathlon and Sport Singapore, SportSG chief executive officer Lim Teck Yin had noted that the store would “provide a lot of vibrancy to the Kallang area”.

He added: “We share a common purpose, which is to make sport accessible. They come with a good price point, high-quality products, (and) most importantly, they come with ideas on how to improve participation.”

Decathlon Singapore Lab store leader Nathaniel Gregory said he hopes the Kallang outlet will change the perception of retail for both shoppers and staff.

“Retail used to be very monotonous. Now because our customers are moving to more digital means of shopping, our jobs will also have to evolve,” he said. “In the last three years my job was very brick-and-mortar style. Tomorrow, I need to learn about SEO (search engine optimisation) and digital marketing.”

Mr James Walton, sports business group leader for Deloitte Singapore and South-east Asia, believes Decathlon’s growth here can encourage more participation in sport.

Noting that the Singapore market used to be dominated by the likes of Nike and Adidas, he said: “Decathlon is offering cheaper alternatives for people who are just getting into sport or not so concerned about the brand or having the latest sneaker, and just want something functional. They’ve filled a gap in the market – it’s like shopping in Ikea, (where) you go there and you’ve got everything in one place.

“To have a retail supplier out there providing sport clothing and shoes at a price that allows so many of these people to access is definitely beneficial.”

’90 Day Fiance’ Star Larissa Dos Santos Lima Gets Domestic Violence Charge After Fight With Husband

Larissa Dos Santos Lima, one of the stars of 90 Day Fiance, has been charged with domestic violence after a fight with her husband, Colt Johnson, last week. As Us Weekly reports, Larissa claimed that their fight started because of a pornographic film that Colt bought. She was arrested twice last year for domestic battery, Us Weekly notes, but on each occasion, the charges were dropped.

But it looks like Colt is serious about getting Larissa out of his life. The Blast reports that he filed for a divorce from his Brazilian wife, the day after the fight. According to documents obtained by the tabloid website, he seems to want a quick end to his short-lived marriage and is not seeking spousal support.

The text of her current criminal complaint states that she “did willfully and unlawfully use force or violence against or upon the person of her spouse,” TMZ reports. TMZ also claims that, based on the police report, Colt said Larissa had suicidal tendencies and took a bottle of antidepressants before the fight. He sustained a bloody lip during the altercation.

“He had a swollen lip, and his gums and teeth were bloodied,” one officer told Us Weekly.

Initially, Larissa said that she was “physically assaulted” by her husband. On Instagram, she later shared a photo of a bloody gash on her face with the caption, “Colt called the cops on me we argue.”

But police later found that her injuries did not line up with the story she was telling.

“After cleaning her off, officers determined that the cuts were not consistent with the kind of bleeding she was claiming,” the officer added. “She also has scratches on her abdomen, but those injuries were also not consistent with the length of his (Colt’s) fingernails.”

They’ve classified her as the aggressor in the altercation because, as mentioned earlier, she’s previously been arrested for domestic battery.

Larissa set up a GoFundMe page so that she could get money for bail and an attorney. The page was removed by the crowdfunding platform, Us Weekly notes

Larissa and Colt found each other on social media and were engaged five days after their first in-person meeting. According to Radar Online, there are reports that the couple filmed episodes of 90 Day Fiance’s spinoff, 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After.

“She attacked Colt twice and I don’t believe she loves or respects Colt,” said a Colt’s cousin, who claims to appear in one of their Happily Ever After episodes. “But if Colt’s stuck with her, I want him to be happy. It’s cheaper to keep her!”

‘Don’t cry, you’re still young’: Williams comforts teen after thumping

Seven-time champion Serena Williams has powered into the fourth round of the Australian Open, marching one step closer to equalling Margaret Court's tally of major titles with a 6-2, 6-1 defeat of 18-year-old Dayana Yastremska of Ukraine.

Williams' opponent was not even born when she won her first grand slam title in 1999 and despite the best efforts of the talented teenager, the gulf between the pair was not restricted to the age gap.

The 37-year-old was far too clinical, setting down an imposing marker ahead of the second week of the tournament.

She will take on either sister Venus or No.1 seed Simona Halep, who play on Saturday night, in the fourth round.

Yastremska, the conqueror of Sam Stosur in the first round, is a name to write down for future reference despite the one-sided nature of the result. It was understandable if there was an element of stage fright about confronting her childhood idol. As an eight-year-old she had cheered Williams on to an Australian Open title a decade ago from her lounge room in Odessa, even simulating the American’s strokes with her own racquet as she watched on television. There were early double faults, a lot of nervous glances at her father and coach Olek and a perusal of reminder notes at the change of ends.

When Yastremska loosened up and became more comfortable with the occasion, though, there were signs of what has made her a much talked about rising star since clinching her maiden title in Hong Kong last October. She has genuine firepower, particularly off the forehand, and may be back on such a stage before long if she can tidy up the loose ends.

Williams, however, was in no mood for benevolence and was only delayed from finishing off Yastremska by the teenager’s break to have the ankle she rolled in the first set assessed.

After play it was a different story as Williams comforted a teary Yastremska at the net.

“I thought she did really amazing. She came out swinging," Williams said. "To be so young, I thought she really came out ready to go.

“When I was young I played against so many people like Lindsay Davenport, Martina Hingis and Monica Seles … everyone I faced was in the hall of fame. MH and MS. Every match was intimidating and not easy but you just go out and do the best you can.”

Capitals Fans Give Barry Trotz Cheers. Islanders Give Him First Place.

WASHINGTON — Josh Bailey and Cal Clutterbuck scored third-period goals, Thomas Greiss made 19 saves for the shutout, and the Islanders moved into first place in the Metropolitan Division by beating the Capitals, 2-0, on Friday night in Barry Trotz’s return to Washington.

Trotz’s Islanders have won four in a row and 14 of their past 17 games to leapfrog the team he coached to the Stanley Cup last year. They improved to 7-0-0 in the second half of back-to-back games this season.

The Capitals have hit a rough patch under their new coach, Todd Reirden, losing four in a row for the first time since March 2017. Washington has just one five-on-five goal during its skid and has lost seven of 10.

Greiss was not tested much on the way to his second shutout this season. Bailey redirected Mathew Barzal’s shot at 5 minutes 8 seconds into the third to break a 0-0 tie, and Clutterbuck scored on a two-man breakaway not long after to help Greiss pick up his 14th victory.

Washington goaltender Braden Holtby was sharp in stopping 23 of the 25 shots he faced in the game, his first since his left eye was injured on a high stick on Saturday. Holtby said earlier in the day that he was back to 100 percent.

Trotz, 56, was honored with a video tribute during the first period. Even though he faced the Capitals at Barclays Center earlier this season — he received his Stanley Cup ring, as did the assistant Lane Lambert and Mitch Korn, the director of goaltending — Trotz expected another emotional night being back in Washington.

Fans gave Trotz a lengthy standing ovation throughout the video, which summed up his four years in Washington, from when he was hired to the lifting of the Cup in Las Vegas. He left the Capitals in a contract dispute in June, was hired by the Islanders days later and was replaced by Reirden, a longtime assistant.

Trotz said the Islanders’ progress through 48 games had reminded him of his first season with the Capitals. They have been one of the N.H.L.’s bigger surprises in their first season under Trotz and General Manager Lou Lamoriello, having lost the point-a-game center John Tavares to his hometown Toronto Maple Leafs in free agency last summer.

Here's What's Happened Since Surviving R. Kelly

Lifetime’s six-part series, Surviving R. Kelly, has brought the controversial artist’s past back into the spotlight. Though rumors of his misdeeds have been swirling for decades the docu-series has reignited an interest in finding out exactly what happened. Since the series debuted on January 3, more and more artists have spoken out against Kelly and companies associated with him have taken a stand in the wake of the #MuteRKelly campaign. Here’s everything that’s happened since Surviving R. Kelly and what many of the people involved hope will come now that Kelly’s actions are being investigated.

The first company to see an effect was Spotify. According to The Blast, the artist’s songs saw a spike in streaming after Surviving R. Kelly. In May 2018, Spotify said that it would remove Kelly from all official playlists, but later added him back after criticism of regulation.

John Legend appeared on the show, acknowledging his huge success with songs like “I Believe I Can Fly.” While Legend said that Kelly’s music has inspired many people, it didn’t justify all of his other actions. “R. Kelly has brought so much pain to so many people. Time’s up for R. Kelly.”

The Cut reports that on January 8, an official investigation against Kelly was opened in Georgia. The Fulton County District Attorney’s Office contacted the women that appeared on the show. Soon after, more women came forward in Chicago, stating that they’d survived similar abuse to that described in the show.

On January 9, Lady Gaga released a statement and pulled her 2013 collab with Kelly, “Do What U Want (With My Body),” from all streaming services. Chance the Rapper issued a statement just a few days prior.

During #MuteRKelly protests, Kelly appeared at a Chicago club. The same day, Kelly’s lawyer threatened to sue Lifetime.

In a statement on her Instagram Story, Buku Abi, Kelly’s estranged daughter, called her father a “monster.”

“To the people who feel that I should be speaking up / against everything is going on right now,” she wrote, “I just want you all to understand that devastated is an understatement for what I feel currently. I do apologize if my silence to all that is happening comes off as careless.”

In the following week, Celine Dion stated that she was working to pull her collab with Kelly, “I’m Your Angel,” from streaming services as well. The Pussycat Dolls followed suit, working to pull “Out of This Club” from the same services. The team in charge of organizing the Spring Break Jam concert had their permit denied. Officials stated “security concerns.” Kelly was supposed to host the event. By this point, the group of accusers has grown to include intern Tracy Sampson, Faith Rodgers, Akeyla Van Allen, and Danielle Williams.

Though Kelly hasn’t released a new album since his 2016 Christmas record, he has released material independently. Any future drops may be put o hold, even though Kelly promised fans that there was new material on the way. Today, Entertainment Tonight reported that Kelly has been dropped by his label, Sony. Prior to the controversy, he was under contract at RCA, one of Sony’s subsidiaries. He’s no longer listed on RCA’s website.

Boy, 4, is nearly run over after wandering alone out of school gate as dad demands answers

His furious dad is demanding answers after teachers failed to notice the young boy as he left Forest Lodge Academy primary school, in New Parks, Leicester.

A driver said she had to "slam the brakes" to avoid running him over at the end of the school day at around 3pm on Thursday.

The boy's dad, who wants to remain anonymous, said he felt “physically sick” that it was allowed to happen.

He voiced his fears that his son could have been abducted or mowed down by a car.

'I WANT ANSWERS'

“It was at the end of the school day and when parents and guardians were collecting the children,” he told the Leicester Mercury.

“Somehow my son, who is only four, managed to walk out of the school past teachers and school staff.

“He wandered out of the door and out of the school gates.

“I want answers. I don’t know how he simply walked out.

“He could have been run over or abducted. And we’d have had no idea. It’s only luck that prevented it from turning out very differently.”

DRIVER 'SLAMMED ON BRAKES'

The four-year-old boy crossed one road and was trying to cross Charnor Road, which is very busy at that time of day, when a woman picking up her child spotted him.

“She had to slam on her brakes to avoid hitting him and got out and grabbed him,” the dad said.

“The driver said she felt sick – I feel sick too that this was allowed to happen. It’s disgraceful.”

The boy was able to walk out during roll call at the end of the day.

SCHOOL APOLOGISES

The school has since apologised to the boy’s parents and said it is making “enforced, proactive improvements” to increase security and make sure it does not happen again.

Headteacher Claire Caldwell said: “An incident took place after school on Thursday that was resolved quickly and effectively – of which we immediately informed the mother of the child.

“Following this, and in line with good practice, we informed all necessary authorities and a full staff briefing was held where a thorough risk assessment and review of the relevant policies was completed.

“We have already made and enforced proactive improvements and processes moving forwards.”

She added: “A full face to face meeting was held with the mother where all of this was comprehensively outlined and acknowledged.

“As always, the safety of our whole school community is of paramount importance to us.”

Lyon backed but spinners need to take wickets: Langer

While Nathan Lyon's focus now turns to this week's Test opener against Sri Lanka, the champion off-spinner has work to do if he is to rubber-stamp his role in Australia's World Cup defence.

Coach Justin Langer has backed Lyon and fellow spinner Adam Zampa to be important components but questions remain ahead of the mid-year showpiece tournament in England.

Nathan Lyon.Credit:AP

Beaten 2-1 by India in the one-day series, Lyon and Zampa were each wicketless. While Lyon's economy rate of 5.45 was a tad high, Zampa conceded only 34 runs in his one match, at the MCG on Friday night. However, wickets are crucial, and he could not dislodge either MS Dhoni or Kedar Jadhav when the home side craved a breakthrough.

Spin will be a major weapon for several nations come the World Cup, particularly wrist spin, but Australia's strength is still likely to be fast bowling.

"We have identified, though, that you have got to, between the 10-and-40-over mark, we have got to take wickets otherwise it gets down to the end and that's what happened to us (on Friday night)," Langer said.

"We lost wickets in the middle overs and then you get down to the end and you haven't got your main batsmen in."

Lyon's axing on Friday prompted Shane Warne to declare Australia's greatest Test finger spinner needed to add to his repertoire to flourish in the 50-over format. Warne said Lyon had only "an off-spinner and a faster off-spinner".

"He just needs to develop a faster one or a top spinner or something that goes the other way (doosra) to be successful in this form of the game," Warne said on Fox Cricket.

Langer, however, suggested Lyon remained firmly in the frame for World Cup selection. To ensure that's the case, he will need to impress in the coming one-day series in India and another against Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates – should he be selected.

"Nathan Lyon is probably the best off-spinner in the world. The reason why he didn't play (on Friday night) is that we felt that he had played two games on the back of the philosophy of trying to take wickets … then we hadn't taken any wickets and also with the number of right handers in the Indian side, we decided to go with 'Zamps' to spin the ball away from the bat rather than into it," he said.

"But Nathan Lyon is a gun. He is a world-class spinner … he is a very good fielder and one of our senior members of the team.

“We don’t traditionally play two spinners in one-day cricket, but it might come up in the World Cup. And certainly, in India and the UAE, there’s a good chance that will happen.

“There might be opportunities … where you might play both of them.

“If it doesn’t, depending on the opposition, we’ll pick one of those two to play in the World Cup.”

Langer said Zampa had been working diligently to extract greater leg-spin, his strength typically having been his wrong-un and top-spinner.

"If he can spin the ball both ways, he becomes a fantastic option for us, as we are seeing all round the world," he said.

"It's no secret to anyone that the leg-spinner is having a huge impact on the game and most of them who are can spin it both ways and 'Zamps' showed, some of those leggies he bowled and wrong-uns, was very pleasing."

Elbow injuries to Steve Smith and David Warner have complicated World Cup plans. Smith has already had surgery and will be in a brace for six weeks while Warner is due home on Monday from the Bangladesh Premier League and will have surgery.

They could yet return through the ODI series against Pakistan, for their ball-tampering suspensions end on March 28, when that series is expected to have started. Another option is to just let them find form in the Indian Premier League.

"I am sure that will change things a bit with their injury. Steve has had surgery, David is having surgery so we will have to wait to see how their recovery goes," Langer said.

"We haven't come to any conclusions with that yet. There is a lot to be talked about. We have to weigh up between competitive games of cricket, probably in the IPL, and whether it's worth them being there for the last few games (in the UAE)."

Cars Might Be The Key To The ‘True Detective’ Season 3 Mystery

Spoilers ahead for True Detective Season 3, Episode 3 Vehicles have played major roles in the past three seasons on True Detective — from Matthew McConaughey’s Season 1 car ride monologues to the motorists who passed the Purcell kids in Season 3 on the day they went missing. And a new pair of suspects emerged in this week’s episode — a mysterious couple who were reported to be driving around in an expensive, brown vehicle the day the kids disappeared. Even more suspicious, it appears to be a lead that neither detective followed up on. Whether or not that’s really the case, it’s still unclear who was in the brown sedan on True Detective and whether they are involved with the Purcell case.

Detective Hays (Mahershala Ali) and his partner, Roland (Stephen Dorff), go speak to a witness who supposedly hadn’t been questioned before — although the man says a policeman — or someone who claimed to be — came by. But when the witness describes him, the detectives don’t know who’s he referring to. Whatever the case, the man explains that he’d seen the Purcell kids a few times before — that they’d pass by his house on their way into the woods.

But that’s not all he noticed, describing a black man and white woman who had driven by his house a couple of times in a nice brown car — although not on the same day as the kids. But when the detectives ask whether they can search his property, the witness demands a search warrant. His account seems like a major clue — especially since his house is on the way to the forest where Will Purcell’s body was found. But it’s unclear, at least at this point, whether or not the men returned to search his property.

While this appears to be a huge piece of the puzzle, Hays and Roland may have missed the vehicle’s significance. In 2015, TV journalist Mary Lee (Tess Soltau) tells Hays, who by this time is suffering from severe memory loss, that there were several people who were never questioned by the police back in 1980. Some of these witnesses noticed "a very nice, brown sedan driving around the neighborhoods," she recounts. "And later, away from Devil’s Den on the day of the murder."

Mary continues, saying, "A witness said police talked to him once, and he told them about the car, but they never came back. And there’s no mention of the sedan in the field reports. Another said police never took a statement, but they both noticed the car because it was new and upscale, and that was unusual for the area. And that the vehicle kept driving around." The journalist mentions still another account, saying, "Another former resident, Charles Snider, said two weeks before, he reported that his boy and a friend had told of a black man with a scar in a suit at the cul-de-sac where the kids played near Devil’s Den."

If audiences will recall, Devil’s Den is the place where teenagers were seen partying and setting off firecrackers back in Episode 1. Speaking of the first episode, it may be helpful to recall who we saw driving vehicles the day the Purcell children went missing. While a brown sedan wasn’t depicted, the said motorists included those three suspicious teenagers in their purple Volkswagen, Vietnam vet Brett Woodard (Michael Greyeyes) riding his go-Kart, and later, Mr. Purcell himself, as he slowly patrolled the neighborhood after dark, presumably looking for his children.

Tom obviously didn’t find his kids that night, but he did see Brett, who was still driving around with his go-Kart full of trash. With so much stuff packed into the back, it seems likely that two kids could be hidden in there, no problem. Later, we also saw the teenagers playing on two bikes that looked a whole lot like Julie and Will’s. How did they get their hands on them, and do they know more than they’re letting on?

It’s true that all of the cars in their sleepy neighborhood are run down, so it seems unlikely that a brand new sedan like the one described would go unnoticed. That said, this descriptor may be a red herring to throw viewers off-track. But that so many witnesses reported the same vehicle does seem notable.

So what does any of this mean? Whoever owned the car was likely wealthy and had just bought their new set of wheels. Furthermore, viewers know that the woman was white and the man was black. Whether or not they were a couple, interracial dating was likely frowned upon in 1980s Arkansas, so they probably would have stood out. Even more significant, the man had a scar. While viewers haven’t seen anyone with a memorable scar three episodes in, it may be an important clue to keep in mind. Then there’s the fact that he was wearing a suit — much like the ones that Roland and Hays wear.

Finally, since Hays has significant memory gaps by the time 2015 rolls around, what viewers are seeing is likely an incomplete account that will come into focus as the plot unfurls. So whether or not he and Roland ever followed up on the brown sedan lead, True Detective Season 3 is finally picking up speed.
