Emmerdale: Why is Lisa leaving Emmerdale? Why is Jane Cox leaving Emmerdale?

ITV recently announced soap star Lisa Dingle (played by Jane Cox) would be leaving Emmerdale. Cox has been part of the soap for two decades after joining in 1996. Here’s what we know so far about the character and actress’ exit from the soap.

Why is Jane Cox leaving Emmerdale?

Soap star Cox has not given a reason for why she’s leaving Emmerdale.

However, in a statement, she said: “Lisa is so close to my heart as she’s been such a huge part of my life for the past more than 23 years.

“So I know I will shed more than a few tears when it comes to filming her final scenes.

“But I’m really looking forward to my return to the show to tell this story and to give the character of Lisa a deserving farewell. I will miss her.”

IS LISA DINGLE GOING TO DIE?

In an episode airing on this year’s International Women’s Day (March 8), Lisa returned to Emmerdale and revealed to her niece Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) she had a terminal heart condition.

In the episode, Charity secretly travelled to Scotland to meet with Lisa who broke the news to her.

Lisa went on to ask a devastated Charity to prepare a eulogy for her as she started to make arrangements for her death.

Charity was sworn to secrecy with even Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor Draper) kept in the dark over the diagnosis.

WILL ZAK DINGLE LEAVE EMMERDALE?

Zak Dingle (Steve Halliwell) was also revealed to be aware of Lisa’s condition and not coping well with the news.

The episode featuring Lisa’s return and bombshell news marked International Women’s Day by only featuring female cast members.

More details about Lisa’s exit are expected to be released closer to the time with the story set to be playing out over the coming weeks and months.

Cox has been part of Emmerdale for 23 years after the character debuted back in 1996.

IS IT THE SAME AMY WYATT?

She ended up getting together with Zak and in true soap style, their romance had a few bumps along the way.

Most recently, Zak and Lisa were torn apart after he had an affair with her Joanie Wright (Denise Black) leaving her devastated.

The couple shockingly got divorced after 18 years of marriage as Zak moved on with Joanie.

Lisa left Emmerdale in May last year before returning this year with the shock amyloidosis diagnosis.

Emmerdale continues on ITV tonight at 7pm

Diana Ross Defends Michael Jackson Amid Backlash Over Documentary

Julian Wasser/Liaison/Getty Images

Diana Ross is speaking out in defense of her late friend Michael Jackson, amid resurfaced allegations of child sex abuse.

In the recent controversial HBO documentary Leaving Neverland, two men go into graphic detail about what they say were years of molestation and grooming by the King of Pop.

“This is what’s on my heart this morning. I believe and trust that Michael Jackson was and is a magnificent incredible force to me and to many others. STOP IN THE NAME OF LOVE,” 74-year-old Ross, who often performed with Jackson in the ’80s, tweeted on Saturday, referencing her former band The Supremes‘ most famous song.

Jackson’s family has denounced Leaving Neverland and denies the shocking resurfaced allegations from accusers Wade Robson and James Safechuck, as well as past similar accusations made against the pop star, who was famously famously acquitted of charges of sexually abusing a different boy, in a 2005 trial.

The documentary has drawn mixed opinions and fresh criticism of Jackson, and several brands have already distanced themselves from him amid the backlash.

Fellow singer Barbra Streisand recently drew controversy herself when she told The London Times that while she “absolutely” believes Jackson’s accusers, they were “thrilled to be there,” and that the singer’s alleged behavior “didn’t kill them.”

The 76-year-old later apologized for her remarks, saying on Instagram, “I am profoundly sorry for any pain or misunderstanding I caused by not choosing my words more carefully about Michael Jackson and his victims, because the words as printed do not reflect my true feelings. I didn’t mean to dismiss the trauma these boys experienced in any way.”

“Like all survivors of sexual assault, they will have to carry this for the rest of their lives,” she continued. “I feel deep remorse and I hope that James and Wade know that I truly respect and admire them for speaking their truth.”

Dr. Dre’s Daughter Gets Accepted Into USC Amid College Scam: ‘No Jail Time!’

A little jab? Dr. Dre shared news that his daughter, Truly Young, got accepted to the University of Southern California — and seemingly shaded Lori Loughlin, whose alleged involvement in the nationwide college bribery scandal helped both her daughters get into the same school.

“My daughter got accepted into USC all on her own,” the record producer, 54, captioned an Instagram picture of himself and his 18-year-old showing off her acceptance letter on Saturday, March 23. “No jail time!!!”

Young also shared the life-changing news on her Instagram page, posting the same photo with a similar caption, and multiple Stories showing off a day of celebrations. “ALL MY HARD WORK PAID OFF. I’M GOING TO FILM SCHOOL,” she captioned one. Another read: “I’m really just the happiest girl in the world.” The USC-bound student concluded her series of posts thanking followers for their “congratulations” and “nice words.”

Dre’s post comes less than two weeks after the Full House alum, 54, and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, were among dozens of parents — including actress Felicity Huffman — who were named and charged on March 12 for their alleged part in the scam.

Loughlin and the fashion designer, 55, allegedly “agreed to pay bribes totaling $500,000 in exchange for having their two daughters designated as recruits to the USC crew team — despite the fact that they did not participate in crew — thereby facilitating their admission to USC,” according to court documents obtained by ABC News at the time. Their daughters, Bella, 20, and Olivia Jade, 19, reportedly won’t return to the school after spring break amid bullying from their peers, however, as of March 22, the girls are still technically enrolled at USC.

Giannulli was arrested that same day and later released on a $1 million bond. As for the When Calls the Heart alum, she was “out of the country” for work, and was taken into custody the following day. She, too, was released on a $1 million bond. The couple is set to appear in court on Wednesday, April 3.

Following news of the headline-making scandal, the Hallmark Channel cut all ties with Loughlin, and TVLine has reported that she will not return for the fifth and final season of Netflix’s Fuller House.

The film included a score by Bernard Hermann, who frequently collaborated with Alfred Hitchcock.

Cohen continued to produce low-budget horror films featuring a police procedural element through the ’80s, often working with the actor Michael Moriarty. The duo collaborated on 1982’s “Q,” and followed it up with “The Stuff” in 1985. Cohen also directed Bette Davis in her last film, “Wicked Stepmother,” in 1989. Their affair will happen later in the series and at one stage the pair meet on the beach before Joseph runs ino the sea naked to swim.

The affair — with the Duchess desperate to escape a loveless marriage and Joseph longing to break free from the confines of life below stairs — threatens to scandalise the Royal court.

Both characters are fictitious but their relationship echoes real-life love affairs between aristocrats and their servants.

Fans of Aidan Turner's much-vaunted physical presence, meanwhile, can now know the secret to his "Poldark bod" .

The 35-year-old actor claims dog walking is the secret to his rippling physique.

Female viewers still can’t get enough of his shirtless performances as Captain Ross Poldark in the Cornish saga.

“One of the best exercise tips I have is to take a dog for a walk.”

Goop is selling lingerie in prices only Gwyneth Paltrow can afford

Goop is offering the lingerie and flogger from a company called Fleet Ilya which sells leather restraints, harnesses and more for men and women.

Fleet Ilya, which makes its products by hand in England, also has similar prices to Goop.

Those with cash to splash won’t find the lingerie on the Goop website by entering the word, instead, they’ll have to type in Fleet Ilya to be able to look through the three items.

According to the website, the nude lingerie ‘ is what BDSM fantasies are made of’.

It adds: ‘O-ring details, racy demi cups for freeing the nipple, buckles to be undone, this piece—paired with the matching knickers—is prepped for full speed ahead. Layer an easy tee underneath for a more subtle statement.’

Meanwhile, the underwear is ‘shocking, sexy, and just the right amount of submissive’.

In contrast, there are other more inclusive lingerie brands that won’t break the bank.

While the lingerie prices might feel like daylight robbery at least they’re not harmful.

Goop had to recently pay out $145,000 (£110,000) for claiming that their vaginal eggs, once inserted into the vagina, ‘could balance hormones, regulate menstrual cycles, prevent uterine prolapse, and increase bladder control’.

TV Shows Ending in 2019: Broad City, Game of Thrones and 35+ More

When 2019 began, we knew that at least 23 beloved shows would soon be leaving us. Three months later, that number has jumped to 40. Math!

So, which shows have joined the ranks of The Big Bang Theory, Game of Thrones and Jane the Virgin? Well, thanks to Netflix and Marvel’s semi-conscious uncoupling, we’ve added a pair of superhero series to our list. (R.I.P., Jessica Jones and The Punisher!) And we didn’t forget about all you Bronies out there — we’re pouring one out for My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, too. (Hey, nine seasons is nothing to shake a horn at!)

Because time is an ever-marching penguin, we’ve also updated our original gallery with the freshest premiere and finale dates (Broad City says goodbye in just four days!), and we’ve noted which shows already ended earlier this year.

For now, we’re omitting shows like The CW’s Arrow and History’s Vikings, whose final episodes could potentially stretch into early 2020. And don’t even ask us about the end of Supernatural, which was announced by its stars on Friday. We’re still processing the news.

Dubai government slams reports of planned R. Kelly performance

Man claims to have discovered a new sex video of R. Kelly with underage girls

The Dubai government spoke out in a rare statement to blast reports that R. Kelly was scheduled to perform in the sheikdom.

"Authorities in Dubai have not received any request for a performance by singer R. Kelly nor are there any venues that have been booked. [Kelly] has not been invited by the Dubai royal family for a performance," the statement read.

Kelly's attorney, Steven Greenberg, somewhat refuted the Dubai government's statement, telling Fox News, "Mr. Kelly had a signed contract with a legitimate promoter, and any information that was included in the motion to travel was from that contract. We did not say he was invited by the royal family, but the contract did provide that he would make himself available to meet with them."

JUDGE RULES CAMERAS WILL ROLL DURING R. KELLY SEX ABUSE TRIAL

It's the latest bout of bad news for the "I Believe I Can Fly" singer.

Last month, Kelly was charged with 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse for allegedly assaulting three minors and one adult woman.

The prosecution came after the release of a Lifetime's docuseries "Surviving R. Kelly."

R. KELLY DENIES EX-WIFE'S ABUSE CLAIMS AS AZRIEL CLARY SAYS PARENTS TRIED TO EXTORT HER WITH SEX VIDEOS

The crooner has vehemently and repeatedly denied all allegations of abuse.

Last week,  Kelly (via Greenberg) reportedly requested permission to travel for performances for cash, claiming the singer needed "has struggled of late to pay his child support and other child related expenses."

R. KELLY SCREAMS, CRIES OVER SEX ABUSE ALLEGATIONS IN EXPLOSIVE INTERVIEW WITH GAYLE KING

"Before he was arrested Mr. Kelly had signed a contract to perform between 3-5 shows in Dubai, UAE, in April 2019," the court filing read. "He requests permission to travel to Dubai for the shows. While there he is supposed to meet with the royal family."
