MANCHESTER UNITED and Arsenal are on red alert with Inter Milan reportedly ready to sell Mauro Icardi and Ivan Perisic.
Gazzetta dello Sport claims the duo will be booted out of the San Siro this summer, with manager Luciano Spalletti also expected to depart.
Inter captain Icardi has been frozen out of the team after being denied a lucrative new contract by club chiefs.
While Perisic’s form has dramatically dipped in recent months, leading to speculation of a summer switch.
The Croatian was strongly pursued by Arsenal in the last two transfer windows.
While United are believed to be lining up a move for Icardi, who is also wanted by Real Madrid.
But it’s Spalletti’s potential departure which could usher in a new era.
The boss faces a crunch clash against rivals AC Milan tonight, with the winner taking a huge advantage in the race for Champions League qualification.
And Spalletti’s exit could pave the way for a stunning return for Jose Mourinho, who won the treble at Inter in 2010 before leaving for Real Madrid.
The Special One has been out of work since December after being axed by Manchester United, and has been denied a return to Real after the club plumped for Zinedine Zidane instead.
