Hilarious moment a dog climbs tree in New Mexico to catch a roadrunner

Meep Meep! Hilarious moment a dog attempts to climb a tree in pursuit of a roadrunner before he is outsmarted by the bird – just like in the Warner Bros cartoon – and goes crashing to the ground

  • Toby, the ‘looney’ dog, was caught on video trying to catch a roadrunner
  • The pup is seen breaking several branches as he scrambled up the tree
  • Once he got to the top, Toby lost his footing and came crashing down into a bush
  • The hilarious moment took place on February 3 in Albuquerque, New Mexico

This is the hilarious moment a ‘loony’ pooch tried his luck at catching a roadrunner perched at the top of a tree.

In the video, Toby the dog spotted the bird sitting up in a tree.

Withing a matter of seconds, Toby was scrambling up the tree as the weight of his body broke several branches.

‘Are you serious right now?’ Toby’s owner yells at him. ‘Aye, come down!’ the pup’s owner says as he records.

But the determined dog just knew he had a chance at nabbing the roadrunner, which seemed unbothered as it carefully hopped from one branch to the next.

That’s when the pup lost his footing and came crashing down into a bush below.

His owner is heard laughing in the background at Toby, who gets back up to try again.

‘That’s what you get! You’re an idiot,’ the man says followed by a chuckle.

In other words, Toby got a little taste of what Wile E. Coyote went through during the the Looney Tunes series: he was outsmarted by the roadrunner

Hilarious ‘Thank U, Next’ Parody Honors Jeff Goldblum on ‘The Late Late Show’

The Late Late Show with James Corden/YouTube

“Thank U, Next” is the gift that keeps on giving.
After the Ariana Grande song’s music video paid homage to several hit films, “The Late Late Show” host James Corden celebrated both the music video and his favorite guest, Jeff Goldblum. When the actor came on his show, Corden got him to join him in a hilarious parody video called “Thank U, Jeff.”
It’s truly wonderful. “Thank U, Next” gets all new lyrics, and they are an over-the-top love letter to Goldblum and his career. The song references his memorable roles in films like 1991’s “The Fly,” 1996’s “Independence Day,” and 1993’s “Jurassic Park.” All the while, Corden sings it and channels his inner Grande.
Watch below.
So good, right? There are so many funny moments, with one of our favorites being the “Mean Girls”-esque talent show includes the “silver fox with black thick-rim glasses” imitating Amy Poehler’s character. We didn’t know how much we needed that until we saw it.
“The Late Late Show with James Corden” airs weeknights at 12:37 a.m. ET/PT on CBS.

Cops and suspect in hilarious week-long mock-romantic online exchange

‘It’s not you, it’s me’: Cops and a wanted man have a hilarious week-long mock-romantic Facebook exchange after they put out an appeal to find him – which ends when he posts a picture of himself OUTSIDE the station ahead of their ‘date’

  • Richland Police Department in Washington state shared an appeal for information on 38-year-old Anthony Akers on Facebook on November 28
  • But Akers himself responded to their request and promised to turn himself in
  • After he failed to turn up police issued another ‘wanted’ post asking ‘Is it us?’
  • Akers apologized for ‘standing them up’ and the faux-romantic exchanges kept Facebook users entertained all week

A Facebook exchange in which police and a suspect played out a mock-romance beneath the man’s own ‘wanted’ post has gone viral after he initially commented telling them to ‘calm down’.

When Richland WA Police Department shared an appeal for information on a man named Anthony Akers last week, the last source they expected to come forward was the man himself.

But instead 38-year-old Akers commented below the post assuring them he was going to co-operate.

Richland Police Department in Washington state shared an appeal for information on 38-year-old Anthony Akers on Facebook on November 28

The police’s first post read: ‘Wanted Wednesday! Anthony Akers (38) is wanted by the Department of Corrections for Failure to Comply. If you have any information please call 509-628-0333.’

In a comment that has so far been liked more than two-and-a-half thousand times, Akers wrote: ‘Calm down, I’m going to turn myself in.’

However, when he failed to appear after a few days, Richland PA got back in touch. They wrote: ‘Hey Anthony! We haven’t seen you yet.

After sharing the appeal for information on Akers, the last source police would have expected to come forward was the man himself

‘Our business hours are 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday. Of course if you need a ride you can call non-emergency and we will pick you up.’

Akers wasted no time in responding with an honest and hilarious explanation as to his absence. He said: ‘Thank you, tying up a couple loose ends since I will probably be in there a month. Should be there in the next 48 hours.’

The next two days came and went, however, and after one Facebook user inquired as to whether he had shown up, the Police confessed that he had let them down, again. Then things got weird.

By way of apology, Akers wrote: ‘Dear RPD, its not you, its me. I obviously have commitment issues. I apologize for standing you up, but let me make it up to you.’

The two-and-fro exchange lasted a week – with Akers continually promising to turn up at the station and then letting police down

‘I will be there no later then lunchtime tomorrow, I know you have no reason to believe me after what i did to you, but I promise that if I don’t make it on my own by lunchtime tomorrow I will call for a ride to assist me with my commitment issues.

‘Thank you in advance to your response if you are patiently giving me another chance with us, I know i don’t deserve it.’

‘P.S. You’re beautiful.’

I don’t know if I need to tell you what happened next, so I’ll let this follow-up (still) ‘wanted’ post do the talking:

But by Monday, Akers still had not appeared. The Richland WA Police Department put out another statement, a little more melancholy than the first:  ‘Morose Monday. Dear Anthony, is it us? Last Wednesday we reached out to you as “wanted”. You replied and even said you were going to turn yourself in.

Finally however, the story got its happy(ish) ending – Akers turned himself in to police and even posted a photo of himself at the station for his ‘date’

‘We waited, but you didn’t show. After you stood us up, we reached out again- this time offering you a ride. You replied and said you needed 48 hours.

‘The weekend came and went. We are beginning to think you are not coming. Please call us anytime and we will come to you. 509-628-0333.’

Yesterday, after days of waiting and going back and forth, the police finally got their happy ending. Akers even posted a photograph of himself outside the station alongside the note: ‘Here for our date sweetheart’.
