“Sarah has a big birthday coming up and wanted to feel hot for it,” Lee shared with Us Weekly about Sarah’s hair switch, adding, “What better way to feel hot than a fiery red copper?!” The hairstylist went on to describe how she obtained Sarah’s sultry color, which she said compliments her skin tone.

“To get this color, she started with a rich base before going in and adding thick highlights throughout to give it a bit of depth and glossing it. Because of the highlights the light reflects beautifully off the color,” Lee explained, noting that “this color is perfect for her olive skin tone.”

Lee is known for her celebrity hair transformations at her beloved Nine Zero One salon in West Hollywood, CA. Some of her celeb clientele includes Kate Hudson, Hilary Duff, Vanessa Hudgens, Selena Gomez, Mandy Moore and many more. Lee most recently styled Emma Roberts‘ hair for the star’s Cosmopolitan “Decembuary” cover.

Sarah’s new do’ is nothing new to the actress. She’s changed her long locks plenty of times in the past, including when she dyed her hair red in March. HollywoodLife recently caught up with Sarah’s other go-to hairstylist to the stars, Ryan Richman, who revealed how he styles her natural curly hair.

Richman revealed that “Sarah has been growing her hair out during this whole quarantine” amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. “It’s getting very long and healthy so when we do want to straighten it, I always make sure to put in a good amount of heat protectant because I will be blow drying it and then going over it with a flat iron,” he explained.
