Brooklyn Nine-Nine star and America’s Got Talent host Terry Crews has got one of the most instantly recognizable physiques in Hollywood, thanks in part to those famous dancing pecs. The actor, former football pro and occasional Men’s Health cover star frequently shares videos of his workouts to social media, offering a glimpse at how he maintains strength and muscle.
In his most recent gym post, shared this week, just hours before the America’s Got Talent semi-final, Crews demonstrated how he works his chest and arms before a big show. “I get super, super pumped on these days,” he says. “I’m glad you can be with me. Watch my form, check me out, make sure I’m doing it OK.”
He goes on to perform a set on the dumbbell bench press, lifting 110 kgs on each side, and hammer curls using 22 kg dumbbells. “You’ve got to ask yourself how much are you willing to pay for the money you make?”
Crews signs off the video with an emotional tribute to the late actor Michael K. Williams, who passed away this week.
“One thing that it alerted me to is, you’ve got to love your friends and love your people while they’re here, that you’ve got to recognize greatness when it’s in front of you,” he said. “But also, it helped me realize you only have now. You have to go for what you’re going for now. You have to, because if you don’t, tomorrow is not promised… You have to decide today, make your choices today, decide what it is you want, and get to it.”
