Amy Schumer has shared her struggle with severe sickness during her pregnancy with a graphic video on social media.
The “I Feel Pretty” star was hospitalised for hyperemesis gravidarum last month, and her battle with the debilitating condition has continued into her second trimester.
Amy, 37, posted the video on Instagram of her getting vomiting into a toilet. “Hi I thought it might be fun to see me throwing up in a public bathroom,” she joked in the caption.
“Deep in my second trimester and all I can say is nope! Yesterday I did a show 90 minutes later. #soblessed #godsmiracle #lepainbathroom,” Amy added.
This is the second time the comedian and actress has shared a video of the effects of her nausea. Last month, she posted a clip of her vomiting before her stand-up show in Tarrytown, New York.
“Turn sound off if you have a weak stomach,” the mother-to-be- wrote on Instagram. “This was my ride to my show at @tarrytownmusichall tonight and a picture from the end of my set.”
Amy also revealed she wore sweatpants and slippers for the gig, in an effort to feel more comfortable.
“I love doing stand-up more than anything and I hate canceling shows. I have to postpone some until I feel human again. But I will make up these dates and we will have a great time,” she continued. “I’m so proud of my stand up right now and can’t wait to share it.”
Amy’s battle with hyperemesis gravidarum caused her to postpone dates on her comedy tour in November.
The comedian announced she was expecting her first child with husband Chris Fischer in October.
The couple wed in February in a private ceremony in Malibu, California, in front of family and famous friends including Jennifer Aniston, Jake Gyllenhaal, Jennifer Lawrence, Chelsea Handler, Larry David and David Spade.
