They spend a lot of their year filming hard-hitting, gritty storylines on Coronation Street.
But last night, it was time to lighten the mood and celebrate as the cast and crew gathered in Manchester for their annual Christmas party.
A host of stars from the cobbles, such as Antony Cotton (Sean Tully), Tina O’Brien (Sarah-Louise Platt), Rob Mallard (Daniel Osbourne), Chris Gascoigne (Peter Barlow) and Jack P Shepherd (David Platt) gathered at the Principal Hotel in the city centre.
Also among the revellers were Dolly Rose Campbell (Gemma Winter), Alexandra Mardell (Emma Brooker), Melanie Hill (Cathy Matthews), Nicola Thorp (Nicola Rubinstein), Harry Visinoni (Seb Franklin), Joe Duttine (Tim Metcalfe), Ryan Prescott (Ryan Connor) and Victoria Ekanoye (Angie Appleton).
Leading the glamour was mother-of-two Tina, who has played Sarah-Louise on and off for 19 years, who flashed some cleavage in a plunging gold Zara wrap dress.
Co-star Nicola, who is returning to Corrie in the new year following her exit this summer, looked festive in a red off-the-shoulder bandage dress.
Rob made a date night of proceedings as he arrived with boyfriend Ben Perryman, who he started dating earlier this year following a brief on-set romance with co-star Daniel Brocklebank.
Also in attendance was comedian Vic Reeves – who appeared in a few episodes as marketing executive Colin Callen last year – with his wife Nancy Sorrell.
Meanwhile, there will be plenty of dramatic storylines to come in Corrie in the upcoming Christmas episodes.
Young newlyweds Daniel and Sinead Osbourne are determined to have a good Christmas, despite her ongoing cervical cancer and pregnancy storyline, but it may not be as smooth as planned.
Viewers will be tuning in to see if on/off couple Carla Connor and Peter Barlow finally get back together in a New Year storyline.
