Eamonn Holmes, 59, told his Instagram followers he had a “great time” in Austria’s capital, as he celebrated turning 60 in style thanks to his wife Ruth Langsford, 59. The This Morning presenter revealed his spouse organised the “mystery trip” and was also met by his children when they arrived, in another huge surprise.
Eamonn uploaded a picture of himself and Ruth to Instagram at a Christmas market in the stunning location as he reflected on their break away.
The married couple couldn’t have looked happier as they beamed away in the image, with Eamonn placing his arm around his wife.
The two both wrapped up very warm for the chilly conditions, with Ruth wearing a leopard print scarf and black coat, which matched Eamonn’s outerwear.
The former Sky News anchor captioned the photo: “Whisked off by Ruth on a complete Mystery trip for my Birthday. Ended up in #Vienna with my Children waiting there for me!”

Eamonn has four children, a son called Jack, 17, with Ruth, and three other children, Declan, 30, Rebecca, 28, and Niall, 26, from his first marriage to Gabrielle Holmes.
The host and Gabrielle separated in 1995 and eventually divorced in 2005.

The X Factor presenter was a guest on The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan on Channel 4 earlier this year alongside Eamonn.
Dermot claimed the ITV favourite decided to make an early exit during the recording because it was taking too long.
The 46-year-old spilled all the details to Jay Rayner on his Out To Lunch podcast, where he revealed Eamonn upped and left.
“I did the Mo Gilligan show a while back, to promote X Factor, and Mo’s this charming young guy, comedian on Channel 4, who’s getting this new show,” he explained.

“Eamonn Holmes was with us, and the recording is quite long, and Eamonn, just, sort of, about three quarters of the way through went, ‘I’ve got to be up in the morning, I’m not having this,’ and he just wasn’t there when we came back.”
He continued: “Yes, he just went, but, I mean, he said, ‘How much longer is this going to go on for?’
“I said, ‘Well, I think it’s the third or fourth part now,’ he said, ‘Oh, no. No, no,’ and he just, and it wasn’t announced, it was just literally, like, he wasn’t on the couch.”
This Morning airs weekdays on ITV from 10.30am.
