Former Eastenders star Tamzin Outhwaite jumped into a pool fully dressed to save three children from drowning.
It came as the actress attended a pool party in North London for a birthday on July 5.
Noticing the children were in trouble, Tamzin took immediate action, with witnesses praising her as a 'hero'.
A witness told The Sun: "She leapt into the water without hesitation. It was very dramatic. Without a second’s doubt she entered the pool and plucked the youngest child to safety, before grabbing the other two.
“She reacted so fast that nobody else had even gone into the water by the time they were all safe.”
Thankfully there were doctors among the crowd and once Tamzin had pulled the children to safety they were checked over to make sure they were okay.
The 'shaken' parents were thankful for her quick action but Tamzin reportedly didn’t want a fuss made about her actions.
Tamzin is well known for playing the character of Mel Owen in BBC soap Eastenders from 1998 to 2019, with a 16 years break from 2002 to 2018.
Tamzin left Eastenders in a jaw dropping moment as her character Mel deliriously approached a burning car where she believed the character of Hunter to be.
The character Sharon was stuck watching Mel as she approached the burning car, only for a lorry to appear from the smoke and strike Mel down, killing her instantly.
While Tamzin may never get to return to Eastenders after such an ending to her character, the star has gone on to appear in a number of high profile shows, with a 2021 appearance in The Masked Dancer as the Scarecrow.
