Caroline Flack had an incredibly close relationship with her twin sister Jody.
It was Jody who identified Caroline after she took her own life at her London flat on Saturday, following the news that her trial would go ahead on March 4.
Twin Jody and her mum Chris were due to see the troubled star on the day she died over the weekend.
They had a close bond and shared a bed until the age of four.
Even their very different lifestyles later on couldn't tear them apart.
Caroline lived the high-profile showbiz lifestyle at the hottest A-list parties and turbulent romances, compared to her twin Jody's quiet life as a mum-of-three.
She previously told The Express: "Jody is a mum with three beautiful children, so we have completely different lives, but we each enjoy the other's life vicariously."
Jody remained firmly out of the limelight but stayed close to Caroline.
Although they were rarely photographed together, the pair often holidayed together and spent time in each other's company.
Caroline hosted the I'm A Celebrity spinoff and The Xtra Factor on her rise to fame after kick-starting her career as an actress on Bo'Selecta in 2001.
Her career peaked when she won Strictly Come Dancing in 2014 and went onto secure the most-wanted job on reality television: hosting Love Island.
And while they lived out their separate lives, the television host admitted it was "very difficult to be apart" from her twin.
She confessed she "never knew what it was like to be alone" as they were inseparable in childhood in rural Norfolk.
It wasn't until she grew older that she learnt what loneliness was.
In her autobiography Storm In A C Cup, she wrote: “The great thing about having a twin is that you always have someone to play with.
"During the whole of my childhood, from the moment I woke up until the moment I went to sleep, I never knew what it was like to be alone.
“It was very difficult to be apart.”
In 2012, Jody was spied taking Harry Styles to the train station amid rumours he was romancing Caroline.
In her first interview since her daughter's death, Caroline's mum Chris said twin sister Jody was unable to protect her from the "hurt of such injustice".
She told the Eastern Daily Press: "Jody her twin sister was there her whole life for her but this time nothing could take away the hurt of such injustice. As Carrie would say: 'In a nasty world just be kind.'"
Chris released Caroline's bombshell statement where she insisted she wasn't a domestic abuser in an unseen Instagram post.
In her own words, the presenter insisted she was not a domestic abuser and she said she was taking responsibility for the "accident" that night.
Caroline explained it was her own blood on the bed which emerged in a picture of her bedroom following the row.
In the sad message, the telly host confessed her world collapsed within 24 hours of her arrest in mid-December which saw her charged with common assault.
