Rock band Kansas have released a lyric video for their latest single, “Memories Down The Line,” from their forthcoming 15th studio album.
“Memories Down The Line starts out as a piano-based rock ballad and builds dynamically to a more powerful sound that still has a sense of longing to it,” keyboardist Tom Brislin shared with Louder Sound.
The song revolves around the theme of “not only passing down one’s physical traits from generation to generation, but also the experiences that shape us,” Brislin continued. “As with a number of coincidences occurring with this album, I had no idea we would be living through unforgettable times, when the song would be released.”
Titled The Absence Of Presence, the new record is slated for release on June 26 via InsideOut Music, and will be available in CD, 2LP, and limited-edition deluxe CD/Blu-Ray formats, in addition to its release on digital and streaming platforms.
