Princess Eugenie’s pregnancy has flown by, and now she's welcomed an adorable baby boy! Here we take a look back at her journey from mum-to-be to proud parent with hubby Jack Brooksbank…
9th July – Double date celebration
A few weeks into her pregnancy, Eugenie is accompanied by Jack and their close friends, singer Ellie Goulding and husband Caspar Jopling, to Casa Cruz in Notting Hill, west London. Perhaps they were toasting the happy news?
16th July – Sister's surprise wedding
Eugenie has always been very close to her older sister, Princess Beatrice, and joins her on the eve of her scaled-back wedding at the Royal Chapel of All Saints in the grounds of the Royal Lodge in Windsor. The next month, Eugenie and Jack head to Balmoral to enjoy some socially distanced quality time with her grandparents, the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh.

22nd September – A fun night out
Eugenie heads to exclusive Mayfair club Annabel’s in London’s West End with Jack and Beatrice. She makes a very stylish mum-to-be, with her chic Zara coat teamed with a Louis Vuitton handbag and Wedel Art Collective X Jenny Holzer face mask bearing the words “YOU ME”.
25th September – Hitting the shops
Eugenie indulges in some retail therapy in Notting Hill. The royal wears the same wraparound frock that she wore the night before her 2018 wedding.
25th September – The big announcement
Bucking tradition, Eugenie shares her and Jack’s happy news on her Instagram account with a cute image of baby slippers. Adding a baby emoji, she writes, “Jack and I are so excited for early 2021.” She is around four months pregnant at this point and Buckingham Palace says, “The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh are delighted with the news.”

25th September – Proud Grandma
Eugenie’s mum, Sarah Ferguson, narrates a story about a magical, invisible grandmother – Nanna Maureen by Casey Gillespie – for her children’s storytelling series on YouTube. She dedicates it to “all those nannas out there”.
29th September – Lady who lunches
Stepping out for a bite at Italian restaurant Harry’s Bar in Mayfair with brother-in-law Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, Eugenie keeps comfortable in a loose-fitting black pleated dress and Maje coat.
30th September – Blooming Stylish
Out and about in London again, Eugenie proves she’s nailed maternity style. Her floral dress is cinched with a belt above her waist, accentuating her growing bump.
12th October – Happy Anniversary
She marks her two-year wedding anniversary by sharing previously unseen photos accompanied by London Grammar track Baby, It’s You. “Been the best two years married to you and 10 years with you in total. Happy memories always, my dear Jack,” she writes.
26th November – Giving thanks
Eugenie shares a lovely post on Instagram to mark Thanksgiving, in which she declares her gratitude to frontliners, charities and “the love of family and animals that keep us strong”. Most touchingly, she adds, “I’m thankful for my husband Jack.”

2nd December – Caring Christmas message
Eugenie gives a message of thanks to the Salvation Army at its Christmas carol concert. Later that month, she pays a secret visit to a Salvation Army safe house to deliver presents to residents.
2nd December – Bags of style, just like Kate
The Princess is spotted in Kensington High Street carrying a trademark purple bag from maternity wear label Séraphine – which was founded by French-born designer Cécile Reinaud and is favoured by the Duchess of Cambridge. She went shopping on the day England’s second national lockdown ended.
18th December – An emotional moment
Eugenie is overcome with emotion as she praises her mother in a video call with Sarah and Beatrice to mark the Teenage Cancer Trust’s 30th anniversary. She says, “We wouldn’t be here unless you educated us in how we give back to people. I’m going to cry! Stop it!”

22nd December – Festive cheer
Wearing a festive redcheck pinafore with ruffles, Eugenie appears in another recorded message, this time on behalf of the Anti- Slavery Collective, an organisation she co-founded with Julia de Boinville. She thanks everyone for their “wonderful” support “in a very difficult time”.
25th December – Love to Granny
No doubt missing her beloved Granny, Eugenie takes to social media to praise the Queen’s annual Christmas message. “Your Majesty, Granny, your words meant so much today and at the end of a year that has tested the world in so many ways,” she writes, picking out a line about “missing friends and family members distanced for safety”.

11th January – Rumours of a house move
With the due date fast approaching, there are reports that Eugenie and Jack – who have a London base at Ivy Cottage, Kensington Palace – have moved in with her father, Prince Andrew, at Royal Lodge, Windsor. It was previously thought she planned to spend her maternity leave at Frogmore Cottage, on loan from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
9th February – Princess Eugenie gives birth
The 30 year old welcomed a baby boy on Tuesday 9 February, as announced by the Royal Family.
The Royal Family shared a statement which read: “Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie was safely delivered of a son today, 9th February 2021, at 0855hrs at The Portland Hospital. Jack Brooksbank was present.
“The baby weighs 8lbs 1oz.”
