Rebekah Vardy denies calling Coleen Rooney ‘nasty b****’ – and says she meant Danielle Lloyd

Rebekah Vardy has denied calling Coleen Rooney a 'nasty b****' and said the comment was instead aimed at Danielle Lloyd as she continues to give evidence at the 'Wagatha Christie' trial.

Rebekah, 40, has taken the stand for a second day at London's High Court as part of her libel trial with Coleen.

She is claiming damages following Coleen's bombshell claim that Rebekah leaked 'false stories' about her private life in October 2019 after carrying out a months-long 'sting operation.'

Rebekah is today, Wednesday, May 11, being cross-examined by Coleen's lawyer David Sherborne.

Mr Sherborne has read messages between Rebekah, the wife of Leicester City footballer Jamie Vardy, and her then-agent Caroline Watt.

On the stand Rebekah denied the reference to a "nasty b****" in one WhatsApp message was aimed at Coleen.

"I think it was Danielle Lloyd,'' she told the court.

In a message exchange with Caroline disclosed during the hearing, Rebekah wrote: "I have taken a big dislike to her. She thinks she's amazing. Would love to leak those stories".

"You have just told this court you did not leak any stories about Danielle Lloyd?'' Mr Sherborne said.

"I haven't," Rebekah replied.

She described the "stories" she referred to as "gossip and speculation" and denied leaking any information about model and TV personality Danielle, the ex-wife of former football Jamie O'Hara.

Rebekah said messages she sent to Caroline about a 'pregnant girl' on August 6, 2019 were about Danielle.

"She has gone and done it now – leak the Maldives stuff" Rebekah said in one of the messages to Caroline, the court heard.

That was a reference to a magazine article on Danielle“talking about her Maldives honeymoon and her unfortunate miscarriage," Rebekah claimed.

She denied it was an instruction to Caroline insisting it was a typo.

She said she had worded her message 'badly' and that the word ''leak" wasn't the "right word" and was a typ that should have said "leaked" as it was a case of "Danielle Lloyd giving information and a story to press about herself."

Adding that she "wasn’t privy to any information on Danielle Lloyd.”

Asked if the fellow WAG was a friend, Rebekah replied: "I would not say a friend.

"I had been to her house once and taken the kids to see her children. She is not someone in my circle.''

She did say however that they had a disagreement on Instagram over "gender selection."

Mr Sherborne said it ended with 'legal correspondence' but Vardy insisted she couldn't remember.

"This is all a lot of nonsense. You are just making this up, aren't you?" Mr Sherborne said.

""No, not at all." Rebekah replied.

Rebekah says Coleen's accusation that she leaked information about her to the press is an "untrue and unjustified defamatory attack."

During the first day of the trial, Rebekah said she will "never forgive" Coleen after she "ruined" the last weeks of her pregnancy by going public .

Rebekah said the impact of the claim was "traumatic" for her and her family and that she was "genuinely scared that I might lose my baby as a result of the stress I was under in the days and weeks after her now-famous Twitter post.
