Former bandmates and two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees Rod Stewart and Jeff Beck are set to reunite for a special show at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on September 27.
The singers parted ways just two years after founding the Jeff Beck Group in 1967. Although they reunited for a few shows and recorded a cover of “People Get Ready” in 1985, the two have largely stayed away over the past decade.
A few attempts by Stewart and Beck to create a new album since then failed to take off.
The upcoming show in Los Angeles will be their first onstage appearance together since 2009, when Stewart made a surprise appearance at a Beck concert at the El Rey in Los Angeles.
The reunion is being described as “their most in depth concert in over 35 years.”
