Shirley Ballas has confirmed that Carrie Simmons will definitely not be doing Strictly Come Dancing this year.
The BBC show's head judge said that it was "a family show, not a political agenda show" as she ruled the Prime Minister's partner out of the running.
Carrie had been rumoured for Strictly after the recent furore around her redesign of the flat at 11 Downing Street and how Boris Johnson paid for it.
But when Shirley appeared on This Morning host Phillip Schofield asked her: "Two words – Carrie Simmons?"
Shirley jumped up off the sofa to perform a few moves as she said: "With a boom boom boom and a shimmy – no."
Holly Willoughby asked her if that was definite and she answered: "99.999 per cent. It is a family show, it's not a political agenda show."
Of the line-up, she added: "It's outstanding. You will be mesmerised, surprised, and really, really intrigued."
And taking about Bruno Tonioli rejoining the judging panel, she said: "If he has to fly on the back of a pigeon to get there, he'll be back."
