  • Cheeky Panda’s dry wipes, £5.99 for 100 wipes from cheekypanda.co.uk – buy here

THE Cheeky Panda’s dry wipes are free from plastic and harsh chemicals, 100-per-cent biodegradable and multi-purpose.

Made from bamboo, they can be used to wipe babies’ bums – or for household cleaning, either used dry or dampened with water.

They were super-soft on skin but strong and durable when wiping my kitchen counters. They also come in plastic-free packaging. Love them.

  • Chuckling Goat natural hand soap, £5.95 from chucklinggoat.co.uk – buy here

CHUCKLING GOAT natural hand soap uses a combination of grapefruit, lemon and bergamot therapeutic essential oils.

It not only smells delicious, but cleans without killing off the good bacteria that keep your skin biome healthy and intact.

Made from goat-milk kefir, the soap left my hands clean and soft – with a fresh scent that filled the room.

  • The Natural Deodorant Co, £12.50, 55g from naturaldeoco.com – buy here

The Natural Deodorant Co uses natural anti-bacterial ingredients such as magnesium and coconut oil.

You warm the creamy balm between your fingers before applying. It’s not wet and sticky, like roll-ons, and I felt clean, protected and odour-free.

It smelt nice and was smooth on my skin.

  • Eucerin Oil Control Face Protection SPF50+, £16, 50ml from boots.com – buy here

Formulated specifically for oily and blemish-prone skin, it promises a dry, matte finish and an anti-shine effect for up to eight hours.

The non-greasy formula absorbed quickly. Make-up applied easily over the top and I didn’t suffer any breakouts or blocked pores.

Best of all, shine was kept at bay all day. Good price for a product that really works.

Mid-range

  • Heliocare, Oil-Free Gel SPF50, £31, 50ml from heliocare.co.ukbuy here

Oil-free, mattifying SPF50 gel. Dried instantly on application, which meant I was able to apply my skincare and make-up as normal.

Has a lovely, fresh scent and antioxidants and vitamins C and E both have skin benefits.

Needs reapplying every few hours during periods of high exposure – so less practical if you have a full make-up on.

Luxury

  • Murad, Invisiblur Perfecting Shield, SPF30, £65, 30ml from murad.co.uk – buy here

This 5-in-1 product helps fight signs of ageing, primes for make-up application, hydrates skin and gives UV protection SPF30.

Helps combat lines and wrinkles and contains a blend of antioxidants that protect against pollution.

The gel-like texture felt incredibly soft and left skin looking totally even, reducing the appearance of pores – a great primer for make-up, also perfect for days without make-up. My favourite. Worth the hefty price tag.
