Michael Kors Releases #WatchHungerStop Love T-Shirt for COVID-19 Relief

Michael Kors has been at the forefront of COVID-19 relief efforts. The American designer has pledged $1 million—with an additional million through his brand’s parent company, Capri Holdings—to New York–based organizations NYU Langone Health, God’s Love We Deliver, A Common Thread, and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. And he is not stopping there.

To provide even more resources to those in need, Kors has released a special-edition Love T-shirt, with 100 percent of the profits going to the World Food Programme (WFP) and the organization’s efforts to provide children with nutrition at school and home.

“This pandemic has reminded us that what really matters is health and love and community,” said Kors in a statement. “WFP has always worked to help those most in need, using their unparalleled expertise to alleviate suffering and spread hope.”

WFP’s partnership with Michael Kors existed long before the coronavirus outbreak. The brand has issued different iterations of the Love shirt for its Watch Hunger Stop campaign, Food Is Love, which raises funds for the NGO. Since its inception in 2013, the collaboration has helped deliver 19 million meals to children. And with schools still closed, Kors and WFP are even more committed to the mission.

“They are the organization that much of the world turns to in an emergency, and it’s no surprise that they are rising to the challenges presented by COVID-19,” said Kors. “We’re honored to work with them and to share their efforts with our own community.”
