Mum shares VERY sneaky tip for guaranteeing free delivery on her online shopping

But one woman from Yorkshire has shared her money-saving hack for never having to pay delivery charges again.

32-year-old Kirsty Holden from East Yorkshire took to Facebook to reveal her savvy spending tip.

Writing on the Latest Deals, Extreme Couponing & Bargains Group, the mum-of-two revealed she had topped up a £3 Sainsbury's order with items she had no intention of keeping, just so it would pass the £15 minimum spend needed for free Click & Collect.

Explaining she had returned the other items, Kirsty managed to avoid the £3 charge.

Other members of the group were quick to agree with Kirsty's tatics, with 52-year-old Julie Robertson from Worthing revealing she bumped her £9.99 order up to £52 to avoid charges.

Another said: "Always do it with Debenhams because their delivery is expensive, also do it with New Look and George. I return to store what I don't want rather than posting it back."

But despite some championing the hack, others disagreed, noting it could increase retail prices for others.

One wrote: "I can't believe that anyone would encourage this!!

"This will drive prices up and people who return the items to the High Street stores don't realise that it then comes off their bottom line of sales for the day.

"Could result in more shop closures on the High Street. Get a grip on yourselves!!"

Another added: "I think this is morally wrong and it's a shame people would do this.

"Absolutely disgusting in my opinion and nobody should do this at all."
