THE days are getting shorter and we've finally caved and dug out our winter coats, which means one thing – winter is just around the corner.
But despite succumbing to the fact summer is over, we're not ready to turn the heating on – and thanks to these handy gadgets, we don't have to.
We've rounded up some of the best buys to keep you toasty this year, including £16 microwaveable slippers and a cute £9 desk heater for those chilly office mornings.
With this lot, not only can you snuggle up on the sofa with a heated velvet blanket, but when you finally have to leave the house and brave the cold, there's a pair of £7 heated mittens to keep you toasty.
This year, Argos have answered all of our prayers by launching a body-long hot water bottle, and if you're concerned about freezing in the office – fear not.
Not only have we found a mini desk heater, but Prezzy Box is also selling a heated back and seat massager for your office chair.
One of our favourite warming buys is Argos's microfleece blanket – which takes just five minutes to heat up.
And thanks to "Intelliheat" technology, it responds to temperature changes, with six settings and a detachable control.
And it's been receiving rave reviews online, with one customer writing: "I can honestly say this was my best buy over the winter period. Perfect for snuggling into on the sofa."

The high-street giant is also selling a body-long hot water bottle that's perfect for the frosty temperatures.
The £25 bottle, called The Body, comes in two colours, grey or polka dot, and is covered in a soft fleece material.
At nearly two-and-a-half-foot long, there’s more than enough to keep you snug.
One person wrote online: “Forget your boring old bottle you've been using each time you get chilly this time each year.
“This hot water bottle is something I wish existed years ago. I can use to fully heat my bed before I jump under the sheets!
“I can cuddle it around me on the sofa! I can even share it with my wife!
“Show me a regular hot water bottle that can do that.”
