HANDS down – cleaning our oven door is our most hated household chore. But the longer you put it off, the worse it always gets.
Over the years, it's felt like we've tried every product going to keep our ovens clean – including Mrs Hinch's favourite The Pink Stuff and Star Drops' vinegar spray.
But it turns out, there's a way you can get your door sparkling again without ANY extra products – and we can't believe we never thought of it before.
Posting on the Facebook group Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips new, the woman explained how she timed her cleaning session after she'd done a bit of baking.
She had previously tried to use washing up liquid, The Pink Stuff AND a degreaser spray to remove the caked-on grime – but had very little success.
"I [cleaned] it whilst it was still warm (I'd baked today) and used a wire wool pad and water," she wrote.
The heat from the oven worked wonders to soften the cooked-on layers of grime while the metal pad effectively scrubbed it away once it came loose.
Delighted with the results, the mum then shared amazing before-and-after photos with the group's thousands of members.
After she asked how she should clean the oven going forward, one replied: "I'd invest ina glass scraper for the oven door!"
Another added: "For my glass oven door, I use Cif cream cleaner and one of those spiral wire scrubbers."
No guesses for how we'll be spending our weekends…
