“Basketball Wives” star CeCe Gutierrez is officially off the market.
On Saturday, Gutierrez married former Lakers coach Byron Scott in a private ceremony, live-streamed for loved ones amid the coronavirus crisis.
“Today I married the love of my life, my best friend, my soulmate,” Gutierrez, 47, captioned a series of Instagram photos from her wedding day.
Gutierrez, an operating room nurse, selected a strapless Netta BenShabu gown for the big day, while Scott, 59, sported a black tux. The bride and groom also wore masks during the ceremony.
“Me and the Mrs,” Scott, a three-time NBA champion, posted to social media, sharing pictures of their wedding cake and outdoor reception.
Gutierrez also revealed Saturday the intimate affair also included a few touching elements, notably from her family.
“On our special day I want to thank my mother and my brother for their amazing musical talents. It meant so much to us to have soprano vocalist (my mother) Edith Gutierrez sing our bridal song ‘Ave Maria,’” she shared with her Instagram followers. “The artist of our second wedding song was my brother Jay and it was titled ‘Rise Up’ ❤️ it was perfect!”
In June, Scott announced he and his then-bride-to-be would be adjusting their wedding day plans due to the global pandemic.
“God had other plans for our big day and unfortunately we aren’t able to celebrate the wedding of your dreams with our family and friends in the big way that we had planned,” Scott posted, noting July 11 as their date.
“I can’t wait to make you my wife in our own private way on July 11, 2020 ❤️Thank you to all our loved ones who were suppose to be a part of our special day. You still and always will be a special part of our lives,” he continued, adding the hashtag “virtual wedding.”
