If you’re looking for an impressive dessert which is a winner with young and old then pavlova is a pretty good choice.
A pillow of fluffy baked meringue is topped with fresh fruit – or whatever topping you like– for a tasty pud.
Unfortunately, if you’ve ever tried to make one, you know it can be tricky.
You manage to mix the meringue correctly – we want stiff peaks, people!
And, then you pop it in the oven only to find it’s undercooked, burnt or flat.

Well, one woman has come up with a fool-proof way to make her pavlova in just 20 minutes.
The Aussie mum posted her idea in the Share Kmart air fryer recipes Australia Facebook group.
While you can’t by the Kmart branded fryer here, most air fryers will do.
The aim of air fryers is to reduce the oil needed for fried food recipes, but it seems it’s also great for meringue.
To make the pavlova you need to beat four egg whites until they are combined and then add a cup of caster sugar.
Whip some more and slowly add three tablespoons of corn flour.
Line a 5.3L – or similar – air fryer with baking paper and tin foil.

Add the egg mixture and bake at 150 for 20 minutes.
When done, open the fryer drawer and let it rest for another 20 minutes until cool.
You can top your meringue with your favourite toppings.
We like to use whipped cream, fresh strawberries and raspberries.
But, you could mix it up with some cocoa or coffee cream an shaved dark chocolate.
It’s up to you!
