Anyone who has played the drinking game I Have Never knows that while it’s a lot of fun, it can also be embarrassing and awkward.
According to a royal insider, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge learnt this the hard way during their university days at St Andrews in 2002.
The couple played the game at a dinner party with pals, including Prince William’s ex Carly Massy-Birch.
And according to royal expert Katie Nicholl it didn’t end well, and one question left Wills fuming.
To play the game, the brave players take it in turns to say something they have never done. Everyone in the group who has done it must then down their drink.
In her book The Making of a Royal Romance, she claims a source says: "When it was Carly’s turn to play she announced, ‘I’ve never dated two people in this room,’ knowing full well that William was the only one who had because Kate was sitting next to him".
According to the friend, Wills "shot a thunderous look" at Carly after she made the comment.
Speaking under his breath, he then said: "I can’t believe you just said that."
The group were reportedly all in shock over the comment.
It seems Kate also wasn’t impressed, and Katie claims she hasn’t spoken to Carly since.
While most of us probably can’t imagine the Duchess downing a drink, Kate actually started an all-women drinking club during her university days.
Before Kate and William’s engagement was announced, the Guardian reported: "At university, Kate continued to grow in confidence.
"She co-founded a girls’ drinking society, ‘annoyed that the old ones excluded women’."
However, none of her old pals or fellow club members remember her too drinking much – and they don’t remember her ever getting drunk.
