Light up your life for less with top deals on cosy sunset lamps

LIGHT up your life with a sunset lamp.

They give a warm glow, with a cosy, romantic feel.

A little mood-lighting can instantly change how a room feels. But there is no need to invest in expensive kit.

Here are my bright ideas to ease wallet woe . . .

SUN-SET YOUR MOOD: For that “golden hour” glow, everyone seems to be talking about the £27.99 Pernos lamp.

But I have spotted cheaper dupes on Amazon. You can currently get the Niveoli one on offer for £20.99.

SAVE: £7

SPARK UP: If you want to make your living room a relaxing haven, bring outdoor lights inside.

Wilko has some lovely lanterns you can fill with candles or fairy lights (£1 at Poundland) for £8, which creates a nice glow. But I like its solar glow lanterns, £7 each.

SAVE: £1 buying the solar lanterns

NO MORE SAD-NESS: Some people with seasonal affective disorder (SAD) find light therapy improves their mood. I like the Arealer SAD lamp at Amazon for just £19.99 (usually £24.99).

That is much cheaper than the similar lamps being sold at John Lewis for £90.

SAVE: £70.01

NEON BULBS: Bulbs with uplifting neon messages inside add a neat twist to any room.

You can buy them singly or with a stand to show them off for £64.99 at

But I have spotted them just a little bit cheaper at, where they cost £59.99. And you can get five per cent off using the code GIVEME5.

SAVE: Up to £7.99 compared to Not On The High Street, using the code

THE 70 x 54cm Waska metal-and-rattan mirror from La Redoute is lovely but costs £230.

On reflection, I would rather head to B&M for this 40 x 55cm mirror with cane border. Yes, it is a little smaller, but just £10.
