Man travels 90 miles to meet first date in two years – and gets stood up

A travelled for three hours to go on a date for the first time in two years – but was left disappointed as he was stood up.

Craig Moffat took to TikTok to share his 90-mile journey as a sad reminder that it is "not time to get back out there yet".

The 21-year-old singleton treated himself a first class train ticket to travel from his Edinburgh home up to Aberdeen in Scotland.

In the now-viral clip, he said: "I can't wait, I'm so excited, almost there!"

After a three-hour train ride, Craig made it to the restaurant 20 minutes early so he decided to order a glass of wine while waiting for his date.

Looking rather posh in his grey waist coat and a checked tie, he sat by the window hoping to see the girl walking into the restaurant.

When he flipped the camera over, he frowned and suspected he got stood up.

Craig said: "It's been 35 minutes and she still hasn't shown up."

The singleton ordered himself a tempura curry rice and a cocktail.

And as his date didn't appear, he carried on enjoying the rest of the solo meal with dessert.

Craig took the edge off the disappointing evening by doing some shots before jumping back on the train.
