McDonald’s is launching a VIP gold card that gives you free meals for a year – and it’s not just for celebrities

We have got some news and we are sure you’ll be lovin’ it. Fast food chain McDonald’s have announced that they are going to be giving out 1,000 VIP gold cards.

These coveted cards will give customers access to a meal each week for an entire year. Doesn’t that sound like a sweet deal?

Also the best part about it is that, unlike the Nando’s black card and the recent Greggs ‘conceirge card,’ McDonald’s VIP offering is not just for celebrities. Anyone could be in with a chance of gaining access to this undeniably great offer.

1,000 of the gold cards are up for grabs and the way to win one is to play McDonald’s Monopoly. If you haven’t heard of that, it is a popular game that allows customers to win prizes by purchasing food from the fast food chain.

Stickers appear on the food and then they can stick them on to a board that is available free of charge in store, or can be collected digitally. Aside from the gold card, customers can also win gifts ranging from a free Big Mac to a car. However, there is no doubt that free McDonald’s for a year is the greatest prize of all!

A spokesman for McDonald’s said: “It’s official…Gold is the new black, After years of requests, McDonald’s is launching a VIP Gold Card…no Brit Award required. The ONLY way you can get your hands on a McDonald’s Gold Card is to play, if Stormzy and Ed Sheeran want to get one, they’ll have to play Monopoly.”

The chain are referring to the fact that Greggs launched their concierge card last month giving it exclusively to rapper Stormzy who posted about it on Twitter.

The grime star and Brit Award winner wrote: "Are you mad the first Greggs black card @GreggsOfficial. I have peaked this is brilliant."

The second point that Greggs told Stormzy in a video that the card will literally act as a concierge because it will deliver food “straight to your door”.
