It’s been 11 years since the cast of HBO’s Sex and the City got together to film the second follow-on film from their immensely popular 90s TV series, but our favourite girl gang has just reassembled one more time for a new reboot. Scream.

While it’s clear the trio of BFFs are just as fashion savvy as ever, there have been some big changes to their beauty looks. Cynthia Nixon, who plays dry-humoured Miranda Hobbes, has traded in her fiery red crop for a blunt silver bob, giving her look an extra dose of sophistication worthy of a high-powered lawyer.

She’s not the only one embracing her greys. Sarah Jessica Parker (aka the iconic Carrie Bradshaw), has allowed a few fashionable strands of silver to frame her perfectly structured face. Age clearly has not dulled her shiny, shiny balayage.

Kristin Davis looks remarkably unchanged from when she first played Charlotte York all those years ago, sporting her “Upper East Side” blow-dried brunette lengths, and a very youthful-looking complexion.

One noticeable figure missing from the friendship group is Kim Cattrall, who starred as PR pro Samantha Jones in the original series and subsequent two films.

Why, you ask in despair? An HBO executive explained, “Just as in real life, people come into your life, people leave. Friendships fade, and new friendships start. So, I think it is all very indicative of the real stages, the actual stages of life.”

There have been some rather loud whispers about a falling out between Kim and SJP, but we’re going to choose to ignore them and pretend that Samantha simply is away on another elaborate PR trip abroad.

All we know so far about the reboot is that it’s a mini-series called “And Just Like That”, and will follow the lives of the three main characters, plus a few of their current and former flames (Aiden, come back to us).

We’ll be there and ready with a Cosmopolitan the minute it hits our screens.
