Conor McGregor vows to give up booze ahead of UFC comeback as fans raise fears over fighter 'drinking too much'

CONOR MCGREGOR has vowed to go sober ahead of a potential UFC comeback this summer.

Fans have been worried about the Notorious’ drinking habits since he suffered a horror leg break in his trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier last year.

The 33-year-old has been spending time at his Black Forge Inn, sharing snaps of himself sinking pints and quaffing whisky.

That led his followers to beg him to ditch the booze and get back in the gym.

One fan commented: "Stop drinking and start training like a champ again."

While another wrote: "Drinking a lot these days champ!!!"

Now McGregor has heeded their advice as he vowed to hold off his Irish stout and whisky brands ahead of a possible return to the Octagon.

He wrote on Instagram: “For my fighting fans, I want to say I know I am enjoying myself with my liquid.
