BRIGHTON are closing on a club record £18million deal for Genk forward Leandro Trossard, according to reports.
The former Arsenal transfer target is set to become Graham Potter's second signing of the summer after Portsmouth's Matt Clarke arrived at Amex Stadium last week.
Pacy winger Trossard, 24, was linked with a move to the Emirates following an impressive season at his boyhood club Genk.
He captained the Belgian side to their fourth league title, scoring 22 goals and grabbing 11 assists in all competitions.
Despite being called up by Roberto Martinez on numerous occasions, he is yet to make his senior debut for Belgium.
But Sky Sports report that forward is now set to join Brighton after the Seagulls have agreed a 18m fee with Genk for their star.
Trossard is set to become the club's record signing, surpassing last year's £17m move for Alireza Jahanbakhsh.
The South Coast side are stepping up their summer transfer business after narrowly avoiding relegation last season.
Seagulls new boss Graham Potter has already bolstered Brighton's defensive line by signing Portsmouth centre-back Clarke.
Pompey's Player of the Year shined in the previous campaign, making the PFA League One Team of the Season and the Sky Bet Team of the Season.
SunSport told you that Brighton are also targeting Blackburn hitman Bradley Dack as well as other Genk star, striker Mbwana Samatta.
