JASH has lots of dash in the Commonwealth Cup (3.40).
Simon Crisford’s flyer has already gone close in this Group 1 level when just behind hotpot Ten Sovereigns at Newmarket in September. He looked better than ever when winning a Listed contest at HQ on his seasonal comeback last month.
He picked up well there and just about saw out the 7f. This drop back in distance looks a wise move and his staying power will be an asset in the dying yards.
The favourite will be hard enough to beat but he was pitched into the 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket last time so this is a fair drop in trip. He did look more of a sprinter in that Classic but is short enough in the market.
Say Yeh in the opening Albany Stakes (2.30). DAAHYEH impressed the clock watchers when scorching home to win on her debut at Newmarket last month.
The form of that race has already been franked and she’s proven over this 6f trip which takes some getting for a two-year-old.
