Racehorse trainer Zoe Davison's cancer has 'spread' and she's now taking each day as it comes, reveals daughter Gemelle

RACEHORSE trainer Zoe Davison's cancer has spread and she is now taking 'each day as it comes', daughter Gemelle has revealed.

Davison has been flooded with well wishes from the racing world as she puts up an 'incredible fight' against her illness.

She has been living with cancer for four-and-a-half years.

Daughter and former jockey Gemelle posted a message to followers thanking them for their support on social media.

She said: "Thank you, to each and every one of you, that have sent well wishes.

"Unfortunately mum (Zoe) is suffering from secondary breast cancer.

"She has put up an incredible fight for four-and-a-half years, sadly the cancer has spread in her body.

"Zoe wanted to hold out for Christmas and has done so.

"We're now taking each day as it comes."

Gemelle, who helps train racehorses alongside her mum, dedicated a shock 40-1 winner to her mum last November.

Gustav sprung a major shock when he landed a 2m 4f race with Page Fuller in the saddle.

After the ten-year-old's win, Gemelle tweeted: "This has put a huge smile on Zoe Davison's (mum) face, as she is currently in hospital battling cancer.

"This one's for you mum."
