THE Cincinnati Bengals and the Los Angeles Rams will face the hottest-ever Super Bowl temperature during Sunday's game.
Though it's the most expensive and largest stadium in the NFL, SoFi Stadium has no air conditioning, so the 84-degree temperatures projected for Sunday in Los Angeles may pose a challenge.
Los Angeles has hosted an 84-degree Super Bowl before, according to CBS Sports, in 1973, and this weekend is expected to tie that heat record.
The 70,000-seat stadium is part of a wider 300-acre Hollywood Park site and will be the centerpiece of the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
Kickoff time for Super Bowl 2022 is at approximately 6.30pm ET on NBC and Peacock – 11.30pm for viewers in the UK.
Anticipation is building around the country for the sporting event of the year, and for the halftime show set to feature Mary J. Blige, Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and Kendrick Lamar.
