The new boss at the Bridge has taken the competition seriously and sees it as winnable silverware – but now fans are waiting with baited breath to see who they face in the knockout phase.
Who can Chelsea face in Europa last 32?
THE draw for the last 32 of this season's Europa League takes places on Monday, December 17 at Fifa HQ in Switzerland.
Chelsea have already secured top-spot in Group L, which means they will be seeded for the draw and avoid the biggest sides.
And at this stage of the competition, they CAN'T face a club from their own association – so Chelsea vs Arsenal in the Europa League may have to wait.
But the Blues could potentially face opposition who have dropped out of the Champions League, with four sides going into the unseeded part of the draw.
As it stands going into the final round of fixtures, these are the teams currently seeded and therefore WON'T be facing the Blues in the last-32:
- Red Bull Salzburg
- Dinamo Zagreb
- Eintracht Frankfurt
- Dynamo Kiev
- Inter Milan
But the following sides have already qualified as runners-up, or dropped out of the Champions League in the lower-half of the draw and will therefore be unseeded.
These teams are therefore potential Chelsea opponents in the round of 32:
- Sporting Lisbon
- Shakhtar Donetsk
- Club Brugge
- Rapid Vienna
- FC Krasnador
- FC Zurich
- Slavia Prague
