WWE legend Bret Hart slams 'overrated' Triple H and claims he is only remembered because of Vince McMahon

WWE legend Bret Hart has launched an astonishing attack on Triple H by claiming he is only remembered because of Vince McMahon.

The Hitman even claimed the founder and executive producer of NXT hasn't had any original ideas throughout his 29-year wrestling career.

McMahon has run the global juggernaut that is WWE since taking over from his father back in 1982 and remains the company's chairman.

Vince's daughter Stephanie and her husband Triple H are now the power couple of WWE in their respective roles of Chief Brand officer and Executive Vice President of Global Talent Strategy and Development.

The pair married back in 2003 and have three daughters together after their storyline relationship evolved into a real-life romance.

The Game has widely been tipped to be the heir apparent to WWE but Hart has claimed the 14-time champion is overrated.

I never thought Triple H ever had an idea, original idea, for anything. And I always thought he was overrated

He told The 81 Podcast: “There’s always some guys, you know, that no matter what they do with them, you always wonder how they got there.

“And I never thought Triple H ever had an idea, original idea, for anything.

“And I always thought he was overrated. The only reason people even know him or remember him today is because (of) daddy, daddy-in-law."

Hart also discussed Triple H's apparent dislike for Dwayne Johnson during The Rock's early WWE stint.

The Hall of Famer claimed that the DX member once wanted him to beat the Fast and Furious actor for the Intercontinental Championship.

He added: "I wrestled The Rock and they wanted me to beat him. Triple H did. He wanted me to beat Dwayne and win the Intercontinental Title.

"I refused. ‘What do I need the Intercontinental Title for?’… I remember Triple H was sick about it because he had a thing for Dwayne and wanted to ruin him. He hated him."
