WWE legend Sean ‘X-Pac’ Waltman is targeting a return to wrestling big time after revealing he no longer has Hepatitis C.
The 48-year-old WWE Hall of Famer shot to stardom in the 1990s as part of both D-Generation X and the New World Order in WCW.
Despite enjoying great runs in both companies, he later went on to compete in the TNA promotion.
However, his career appeared to come crashing down in 2010 when his health condition was discovered and he was let go by TNA.
And now he wants to roll back the clock 20 years, telling his X-Pac 12360 podcast:
“I had hepatitis C for a long time. I tested positive for it when I came back to TNA.
“After that, I couldn’t get cleared in certain states with athletic commissions, so TNA and WWE couldn’t really have me in matches. I would just do little matches, nothing serious, no blood or anything.
“Now I’m cured, everyone. Just this year. I hadn’t mentioned it publicly.
“It cost $100,000 for treatment. It’s $1,000 a pill, one pill every day. I feel great.
“Some people are going, ‘How come he never came back?’ That’s the reason.”
Waltman requires surgery on his knee.
But after he goes under the knife, the former European, Cruiserweight and Tag Team Champion wants to get back into the ring.
He added: “Now, that’s clear. I’m going to get my knee fixed, I’ve had a torn ACL since the turn of this decade, like 2008 or something.
“I’m going to get that fixed and sometime next year, I’ll put myself on the market, have a few more matches.
“Everyone thinks they have one more run left in them. Anywhere I run, it’d have to be a sprint… I could [do a regular schedule], I don’t know if I want to.
“I’ve probably got half a dozen good, hard matches in me.
“When I tore my ACL, I’ve had some really good matches, even with that.
“I just want to get it fixed, it’s not that I can’t have matches with it. If I’m going to do a last run, I want that to be [fixed].”
The American won 12 wrestling championships across WWE, WCW and TNA during his time in the sport.
Back in 2018 he announced his ex-wife and mother to his children, Terry Paulson, had died.
The couple tied the knot in 1994 when Paulson was 19 and had two children, son Jesse and daughter Kaitlyn.
They were married for eight years before divorcing in 2002.
It is understood his drug problem led to the split and he was arrested in 2011 for possession of controlled substances and was again held by cops last April at Los Angeles International Airport.
He attempted to commit suicide in 2008 but was saved by his then-girlfriend Alicia Webb.
Waltman has also revealed he was repeatedly sexually abused as a child which had psychological effects on him.
