90 Day Fiancé fans were recently introduced to a new star on the show — Caesar Mack. This 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days star claims to have fallen in love with a Ukrainian beauty named Maria. Unfortunately, the two have only been dating virtually, and he’s never met her in real life.
Fans were immediately concerned that Caesar was being catfished, especially when he revealed how much money he sends his alleged “soulmate.” However, one Reddit user claiming to know Caesar Mack in real life has come forward with claims that he’s putting on an act.
How Caesar met Maria
Caesar Mack claims to have met his 90 Day Fiancé girlfriend, Maria, via a dating service. According to Caesar, he used a service called Anastasia Date that he claims “brings Americans and Ukrainian women to meet each other for a small price.” The Anastasia Date website says they are “connecting singles across the world with their ideal partner.”
Caesar says Anastasia Date users can spend real money on gifts for the women on the website, who can then decide to message them back based on what they’ve sent. Caesar admitted to spending $450 to send Maria a card and flowers when he first messaged her.
Caesar is a nail technician, as well as a self-proclaimed hopeless romantic. “I learned to do nails from my ex-girlfriend. She was my high school sweetheart, we dated for thirteen years, and when we broke up I was heartbroken. But, I’m still a hopeless romantic. It’s very important for me to have somebody that’s my soulmate. Somebody that I can walk the beach with, live my life, and basically live our life in like, a dreamland,” explains Caesar.
Caesar sends Maria money
In a shocking revelation, Caesar admitted that he has sent Maria a vast sum of money. Over the course of their 5-year relationship, Caesar says he’s sent Maria $40,000. Allegedly, he sends her roughly $800 a month.
During the premiere of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Season 3, it’s clear that Caesar’s choice to send so much money to Maria has impacted his lifestyle. His apartment, for example, is bare.
Caesar Mack has also spent plenty of money attempting to set up plane tickets for himself and Maria — apparently losing money on cancellations whenever Maria backs out of the plan. Viewers were treated to an uncomfortable conversation between Maria and Caesar in which he tried to convince her to meet up.
Caesar took out a $2,000 loan from his boss in order to send Maria money for plane tickets to Mexico — now, it remains unclear if Maria is even going to meet Caesar in Mexico. Despite not hearing from her for three days prior, he made the trip and expects to meet her there and propose.
One Reddit user claims it’s staged
A Reddit user has come forward to claim that they know Caesar Mack in real life, and that much of what viewers are seeing is staged. Beware, there may be spoilers ahead for viewers keeping up with Caesar and his relationship.
The user wrote, “He says ALL the drama in their relationship was made up by producers. Not like, scripted toooo much but edited and there was a fair bit of acting on his end.”
The same user went on to claim that Caesar’s relationship with Maria is already over in real life. “Their relationship was ending before the show even started- and she wasn’t interested in being on camera, which was the nail in the coffin,” they wrote.
Most tellingly, the user wrote, “He only took part in the show to build up a film roll- he is not being paid a TON (like 1200 an episode I think he said?). But, they pay more for the Tell All, pay for travel and stuff for a lot of shots and he wants to get into doing commercial work- so he took this as an ACTING job. His gf was aware of that [sic].”
Only time will tell if what this user has written is the truth, but surely it will keep fans wondering what’s real and what’s not when it comes to 90 Day Fiancé.
