Bosch had been running on Amazon Prime for seven seasons but finally came to an end last month. Fans were sad to say goodbye to the team but fear not, as the story doesn’t end there. The streaming service revealed there would be a Bosch spin-off so who is going to be starring in the new episodes?

Who will return for Bosch spin-off?

Of course, the show wouldn’t be a Bosch spin-off without the man himself.

Actor Titus Welliver has portrayed the homicide detective for seven years and while the original drama has come to an end, he will be back to carry on his character’s story.

Speaking to Express.co.uk, actress Natalia Castellanos, who plays Mayor Susanna Lopez, gave more of an idea as to how Bosch’s journey will play out.

She explained: “I was really excited [about the spin-off] because I loved the show to begin with, but I love when they switch things around and create more human realistic stories that

can happen to anybody’s career and where they move and what they want to do with their life.”

Castellanos added: “It does still follow Michael Connelly’s books and there is stuff with him moving out of the police world and going into the private investigation world.”

At the end of the season seven finale, Bosch was seen filing an application to become an investigator so it looks like he is going to be getting to be working with victims and their families a lot more in the spin-off.

Actor Welliver will be joined by his onscreen daughter Maddie (Madison Lintz) who was considering joining the force in the last episode.

She did say in the end though “I want to help”, so could Bosch and Maddie become a private investigating team?

Another familiar face who has been confirmed for the new series is attorney Honey “Money” Chandler (Mimi Rogers).

She spent most of the last series in a coma following an assassination attempt but it seems like she will be making a full recovery.

No other Bosch cast members have been officially confirmed for the spin-off as of yet.

However, actress Castellanos did tease her appearance in the new episodes.

When asked if she was going to be in the upcoming show, Castellanos said: “We’re just going to have to see.

“I cannot disclose anything at the moment. It’s a secret!”

Castellanos first joined the cast during season six when she was up against Chief Irving for the role.

He only backed out and started supporting her after a rival threatened to expose some of his past dodgy antics.

So are fans going to be able to see more of how Lopez gets on as Mayor?

The Bosch spin-off was announced by Amazon Prime in March 2021.

As of yet, the series doesn’t have a title and there is no release date to speak of.

But if work on the drama can start in the next few months or so, there is a good chance it could be out sometime in 2022.

Bosch is available to watch on Amazon Prime.
