Bridgerton series two filming was "halted" this week after a production member tested positive for Covid, with shooting resuming on Friday.
OK! understands the entire cast and crew have now been tested and that the infected person is now in "isolation" after following coronavirus health and safety protocols.
According to reports, the incident has sparked concerns for The Crown filming, which is due to start soon, as it also has a "large set" and is on the "same epic scale".
A source told The Sun: "Both period epics are hugely important international hits for the streaming giant, but both require extremely large cast and crew. That’s a logistical nightmare in terms of trying to keep staff safe, prevent an outbreak or contain one when it’s been identified.
"It’s also a headache for producers because removing cast or crew and putting them into isolation means they have to be replaced at short notice, and that’s not always possible.
“Netflix have gone to great lengths to ensure all the relevant measures are in place on Bridgerton, but this just goes to show how difficult it is for such a large set to be completely Covid-secure. That doesn’t bode well for filming of The Crown, which is set to start any day now, and is on the same epic scale."
OK! has contacted Netflix for comment.
Bridgerton enjoyed immense success after it debuted on Netflix last year and, according to show runner Chris Van Dusen, the upcoming second season will offer fans even more of what they loved the first time.
In an interview with Deadline, Chris went as far as to say: “I don’t think people are going to be ready. It’s everything people love so much about the first season but more.”
And it sounds like that has a lot to do with the “magnetic” new romance that’s set to be at the centre of the season. The eldest Bridgerton child, Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) will search for love after his failed romance with singer Siena Rosso (Sabrina Bartlett).

When he finds it with new debutante Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley), sparks fly.
When asked about Jonathan and Simone’s chemistry in the upcoming season, Chris said: “The two of them are just magnetic.”
Speaking of magnetism, many fans of the show were heartbroken when the news broke that series favourite Regé-Jean Page would not be returning for the show’s second run.
However, Phoebe Dynevor – who plays Daphne Bridgerton, the Duke’s wife – will be returning regardless. She’ll assist her brother as he attempts to navigate the highs and lows of the social season.
