Coronation Street's Alan Halsall shares amusing throwback to celebrate 20 years on the show

Coronation Street‘s Alan Halsall has shared an amusing throwback picture to celebrate 20 years on the show.

The actor, who has played Tyrone Dobbs on the soap since 1998, took to Instagram on Saturday (December 1) to post an image of himself appearing on the programme for the first time.

Suffice to say, he looked a bit different back then.

20 years ago on this very night I sat and watched myself on @coronationstreet for the very 1st time. They say time flies when you’re having fun that saying certainly applies here !! 20 years on I still love my job just as much as I did on day 1 🙌 So proud to be a small part of this show 📺

In his latest storyline, Tyrone was faced with making a major decision over the troublesome Hope tonight (December 3), finally realising that her bad behaviour can’t go on.

Hope (Isabella Flanagan) has been causing problems for her family for most of the year, but Tyrone and Fiz have often appeared to bury their heads in the sand when it comes to tackling the issue.

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
