DEATH in Paradise fans have spotted a major blunder involving Martha's dramatic departure.
This episode was an emotional one for the viewers as DI Humphrey Goodman (Kris Marshall) said goodbye to the love of his life, as she left the island for good.
In season six the popular DI was happy to see his love interest arrive back on the tropical Caribbean island and it didn't take long before the pair struck up a relationship.
However, Martha soon realised that she must return to London and leaves Humphrey devastated as she catches a flight back to the UK.
She leaves him a note, but one fan pointed out the timings wouldn't have worked and took to Movie Mistakes to explain.
They wrote: "The big climax of the episode involves Humphrey arriving at 1 PM to escort Martha to the airport as he promised, finding the shack empty with a parting letter from her and rushing on Dwayne's motorbike to catch her plane, failing to do so."
They continued: "All very cinematic, but that means that had Martha not left early, she could have not caught the plane at all."
Luckily, Humphrey's heartache didn't last forever as the duo reunited in the UK where we hoped they stayed happily ever after.
Kris Marshall left the BBC drama in 2017 and as his final scene aired in a London cafe, he poured his heart and told Martha how much he loved her: “The thing is, paradise is very much what you make it. Or more to the point who you make it with."
He added: "There’s no point in me being in the Caribbean if you’re going to be over here, because where you are is where my paradise is, and where you are is where I want to be. I love you."
Fans may have to wait a little longer to sink their teeth into the new series, as filming was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
No further details were given as to whether the delay in filming will affect the launch date of season 10, which fans expected to drop in early 2021 in keeping with past seasons.
Season nine recently came to an end with Ralf Little taking over from Ardal O'Hanlon as the new lead detective, Neville Parker.
Before the season 10 delay was revealed, Ralf, 40, had joked he wanted to "get ripped" for the next series.
He told Digital Spy: "I want to get my French in order, obviously [Neville] speaks English but it would be nice to speak French on the island.
