EastEnders: Gunshot rings out in Hunter's Queen Vic siege – but who dies?

Things turned deadly on EastEnders as Hunter Owen (Charlie Winter) stepped up his campaign of revenge against Jack Branning (Scott Maslen), who he blames for getting sent to prison for murdering Ray Kelly.

Hunter had been hiding out in the Queen Vic cellar with a gun he stole from mum Mel (Tamzin Outhwaite). Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) walked in on him, and he planned to hold her hostage until Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) arrived and tried to calm the situation.

Just when it looked as though Mick had got through to him, Jack burst in to try and save his friend. But he ended up making things worse.

Hunter attempted to walk his hostages out through the pub, but he was spotted by Keegan Baker (Zack Morris) who alerted the everyone else to the fact he was carrying a gun.

The troubled teen tried to take control of the situation by holding everyone in the Vic hostage, but was distracted by Jack.

In a heroic move Mick tried to wrestle the gun out of Hunter’s hands and a pile of characters fell to the floor in a tussle.

A gunshot then rang out, but we didn’t see who got shot.

With at least one person set to be killed in this terrible chain of events, who will Albert Square be saying goodbye to when the dust settles?

We had previously seen Hunter attack Denise Fox (Diane Parish) while looking for Jack, leaving her lying motionless on the floor.

And she didn’t respond to Mel’s attempts to bring her round. Is there a chance the unlucky person isn’t even inside the Vic?
