Our Yorkshire Farm has been airing its fifth season on Channel 5 since April 2021. The show had been airing weekly on Tuesday nights until its sudden cancellation last week (June 1). What happened to Our Yorkshire Farm on TV?
Has Our Yorkshire Farm finished?
Despite the show not airing its final episode of season four, fans have nothing to fear, as the last episode is merely delayed.
The show missed its usual spot as Channel 5 prioritised the show Anne Boleyn, which aired all three of its episodes last week.
Our Yorkshire Farm traditionally drops at 9pm on Tuesday nights, however, Anne Boleyn took that spot for its one-off screening.
Yet, there still isn’t any word on the release date of the final episode for season four of Our Yorkshire Farm, leaving some fans to fear for its cancellation.
There is still one final episode to air for season four, but no release date is set and it isn’t clear what the episode will involve.
Lately, fans have been following Amanda Owen as she renovated an old derelict farmhouse with the intention of the family moving in.
On top of that, the last episode of season four brought fans back to the Christmas spirit as it showed how the Owen family celebrates the season.
There could be a clear jump ahead for the next episode due to the delay, however, Amanda Owen hasn’t given any updates on the next episode.
The finale of season four could be a special which requires more time to make, or the delay could result in the final episode actually being the start of season five.
Despite the show not airing, Amanda made a new television appearance on Good Morning Britain on Thursday (June 3).
During the segment, she showed off her impressive cooking skills for fans to get an insight into how she prepares meals for a family of 11.
Amanda, 46, prepared a trout pate after being shown how to catch a rainbow trout.
Amanda hasn’t addressed the lack of a new episode, however, she has been sharing insights into farm life on her Twitter.
Fans love these little glimpses of Owen family life between episodes, with her latest post showing Amanda hard at work moving cattle.
The star captioned the post with: “Moving cows to some of our outlying Summer grazing pastures. #yorkshire #summer #grazing #sunshine #cows”
Despite these updates, there has been no official confirmation from Amanda or Channel 5 on the next episode of Our Yorkshire Farm.
Fans have not been happy about the series being pushed back, with many taking to Twitter to share their anger.
One fan said: “Was so upset when “Our Yorkshire Farm” wasn’t aired on Tuesday, it’s the best programme across all the channels Amanda, it’s heartwarming and helped so many through lockdown, hoping there is one more in this series.”
Another fan added: “I think like millions we missed you all on Tuesday x.”
A third fan said: “Never missed one episode from any of the series: love them! Couldn’t believe the last episode was taken off. Hope we can see it before too much longer! Best programme on the tele.”
Our Yorkshire Farm is available to watch on Channel 5 and My 5.
