Jason Gardiner claims Dancing on Ice ‘curse’ is worse than Strictly’s

Jason Gardiner has claimed the Dancing on Ice ‘curse’ is worse than the infamous Strictly Come Dancing ‘curse’.

Ahead of the new series of the ITV TV skating show, the judge has admitted there’s plenty of saucy backstage gossip.

Speaking of X-rated action between stars and their partners, the 47-year-old said, “We’ve had loads.”

He also claimed the show is just as ‘cursed’ as the BBC talent show, but people just don’t realise.

"We’ve had loads of those. We just don’t make a song and dance about it,” he added to the Daily Star.

While a source told the newspaper, “It seems that there was a lot more going on backstage at the ice rink than fans got to know about.

“Clearly Dancing On Ice is worse than Strictly. All eyes will be on the new batch of stars getting their skates on.”

Jake Quickenden, who won the last series, split from fiancee Danielle Fogarty shortly after winning the show.

Professional skater Sylvain Longchambon split from Hollyoaks actress Jennifer Metcalfe for his skate partner Samia Ghadie, who he’s now married to.

Meanwhile, the upcoming series of Dancing On Ice will feature the likes of Love Island’s Wes Nelson, TOWIE’s Gemma Collins, Finnish singer and X Factor star Saara Aalto, Coronation Street’s Jane Danson, Neighbours star Mark Little, Melody Thornton of Pussycat Doll fame and former England international cricketer Ryan Sidebottom.

Richard Blackwood, James Jordan and Brian McFadden are also taking part.
