On Monday night (August 23) ITV2 aired the Love Island grand finale, which saw Millie and Liam win £50,000 as they were crowned the winning couple of the 2021 series.

On August 23, ITV2 received 297 complaints related to the results of the vote.

Millie and Liam took the top spot, Chloe and Toby came second, Faye and Teddy were third and Kaz and Tyler placed fourth.

Viewers and fans of the show weren't impressed when Kaz and Tyler placed last, with many fans taking to Twitter, fuming that they were booted out before gobby Faye.

Faye Winter, who was coupled up with Teddy Soares in the villa, was one of this season's most firey contestants.

Kicking off when the infamous postcard arrived at the main villa which showed the lads at Casa Amor letting loose, and again during the movie night challenge when she saw Teddy cozying up to Clarisse.

Fans were horrified by Faye's outbursts, with many taking to Twitter and Ofcom to show their disgust and horror over the way that she treated Teddy.

One fan took to Twitter to say: "Sorry I figured they [Kaz and Tyler] wouldn’t win but behind Feddy [Faye and Teddy]? So who sent in the 25k Ofcom complaints?? How did a couple people claimed was toxic come in top 3? People were sure Faye was abusive so how did they beat Kyler [Kaz and Tyler]? It’s not adding up."

One fan however thought that Millie and Liam were the rightful winners, saying: "Can't argue with first and second place. Millie and Liam were my winners but even if Chloe and Toby won, it made sense to me. How on EARTH did Faye and Teddy come third instead of last please? Someone explain cos surely Kaz and Tyler were third than fourth?! Rigged."
