Love Island's Hugo and Sharon look very close in unseen pic before he put her in the 'sister zone'

LOVE Island's Hugo Hammond and Sharon Gaffka looked very cosy in an unseen pic before he put her in the "sister zone".

The PE teacher, who is in a friendship couple with the civil servant, made it clear romance would never blossom between them.

The official Love Island Instagram account shared a series of new snaps with their fans – including one pic of the pair looking remarkably close.

The sweet photo shows Hugo, 24 and Sharon, 25, relaxing on the day bed together and smiling for a selfie.

The cute pic didn't go unnoticed by fans, with one writing: "Hugo and Sharon pic is cute tho😂."

Another shared: "I'm sorry but Hugo and Sharon look good together."

A third added: "Why do Sharon and Hugo actually look good together tho👀."

Last week, Sharon told fellow Islander Kaz Kamwi, that she was open to getting to know Hugo on a romantic level.

Unfortunately for Sharon, Hugo made it clear that he thought of Sharon as a "little sister".

He said: "If I'm completely honest with you I can't see there being anything romantic between you and me because I see you as a little sister in here now, and I think you're amazing and I want you to find someone that's 100 per cent you, and you definitely deserve that.

"I don't see you in that way and I don't think I ever could. As much as friendship couples are great and we have fun, it serves a purpose for the time being, but I don't want it to be my whole experience. I want to share this with someone.

"I don't want this to be your whole experience at all."

Viewers cringed over the awkward conversation, with one writing on Twitter: "Sharon got little sister zoned."
