Hendrix (Benny Turland) has become somewhat of an exemplar resident on Neighbours of late, having settled down since he began a relationship with Harlow Robinson (Jemma Donovan). Since the passing of her mother, he and her best friend Mackenzie Hargreaves (Georgie Stone) have been doing everything in their power to make sure she’s happy. However, upcoming scenes will see his own friendship with the latter put in jeopardy in upcoming scenes on the Channel 5 soap as he willingly betrays her to keep someone else’s secret.
Last week, viewers watched as Toadie Rebecchi (Ryan Maloney) hired newcomer Rose Walker (Lucy Durack) to be his personal assistant at the law firm.
Since her arrival, she has been particularly shifty, wanting to get access to her bosses case note when he’s been away from the office.
The mysterious character will continue with her mission next week as she spots an opportunity to find out the information she needs.
What she doesn’t expect is for Hendrix to walk in and catch her in the act, foiling her plan once and for all.
Confusion sparks in the teenager’s mind as he watches the newcomer take pictures of files, leading him to strike a deal with her which could cost him and Harlow a dear friendship.
Knowing Rose is up to no good, Hendrix decides to threaten her, explaining how he will rat her out to Toadie for stopping around his notes.
However, she will be desperate to keep her secret and as she pleads for the teenager to stay quiet, he agrees on one condition.
Betraying MacKenzie in a bid to help his girlfriend’s chances of securing the Youth Council position, he asks the newcomer to obtain a copy of his friend’s speech.
The teenager plans to pass it off as Harlow’s, which would leave her best friend utterly mortified and destroy their relationship.
Harlow will be completely naïve to this as her boyfriend will tell her he wrote it, therefore she goes ahead and uses it.
This ultimately leads to the two girls clashing and cutting all ties with one other and dirty politics takes over.
Will Hendrix feel immensely guilty for taking something of Mackenzie’s just to keep Rose’s mysterious secret?
Despite being caught out, the newcomer will continue to play the sweet and innocent PA to Toadie, which leads to some chemistry between them.

Love Rose so much already!
The lawyer will be smitten, given this is the first real connection he’s had since Dee Bliss (Madeleine West) moved away earlier this year.
Will it be him who ends up being the fool, however, when it emerges Rose isn’t interested in him and is taking advantage of being so close to him?
Fans of the Australian drama have expressed their interest in seeing where the storyline goes in the coming weeks.
One viewer wrote on social media: “Love Rose so much already! Although Toadie has learned zero lessons from his Nanny Alice experience #Neighbours.”
Another added: “Liking Toadie’s new PA! I’m sure she is trouble but I’m curious to see where this will go. #Neighbours.”
Whilst a third commented: “How many times does Toadie have to hire a stranger who seems too good to be true before he realises that they’re always trying to scam him?! #Neighbours.”
Viewers will have to wait and see if a romance does blossom or if Toadie will figure out he’s being manipulated once again.
If he discovers Hendrix was complicit in keeping Rose’s secrets, will he seek vengeance on the teenager for prolonging his ordeal?
