Olly Murs has claimed his twin brother changed his number after years of feuding, despite the singer trying to reconcile.
In an interview with ITV’s Lorraine Kelly, the X Factor singer said he has tried to reconcile with his brother, and hope they will be able to, but his brother has changed his number years after the pair fell out.
Ben Hart, who changed his name after years of a family spat, took his wife Amy’s name after Olly failed to turn up to Ben’s wedding and perform his best man duties.
When asked if he hopes the pair will reconcile, Olly said: "I hope so, of course it would be [good to reconcile.]
"It’s mad because every year I think it’s been nine, 10 years of being in the industry, it’s still a long time I’ve not spoken to him.
"I did text him for his birthday, I think he’s changed his number, but I’m sure we’ll talk again, life, it’s too short.
"At Christmas, it’s never the same not having everyone there."
Ben has called Olly a "self-obsessed sell out" in an interview with the Mail on Sunday in 2009, where he said: "Our family was torn apart because of X Factor. It was clear that people like Simon Cowell were more important to him thank me."
The twin said his singer brother failed to turn up to their wedding, despite his role as best man.
But Olly has said in a previous interview: "His wedding was his excuse for not having me in his life anymore.
"He got into a relationship with his now wife, and I don’t think she ever liked us as a family.”
Sadly, Olly doesn’t seem too close to finding someone himself, as he told Lorraine he is waiting for someone better than "just OK."
He said: "I’m too fussy and even if I came with an instruction manual, no one would really get me… I’m taking my time.
"I don’t want to accept OK, some people accept an OK relationship, I don’t want that."
Olly will take part in the new series of
Lorraine continunes at 8.30am weekdays on ITV.
