Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew) was determined to get revenge on Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) in Coronation Street tonight (September 28), as he reported him to the police for theft.
Geoff paid a visit to Adam Barlow’s (Samuel Robertson) office last week in search of some information about Yasmeen Nazir’s (Shelley King) case.
Adam refused to help, and after Daniel issued him with some harsh words, Geoff stormed out, but he later returned having realised he’d misplaced his money.
Little did he know that Daniel had acquired his cash, and he gave it to Nicky Wheatley (Kimberly Hart-Simpson) so that she could start anew elsewhere.
However, in tonight’s double-bill, Geoff discovered that Daniel had stolen his money, as he overheard a conversation between the young man and Nicky.
Therefore, he called the police and had Daniel arrested.
He was determined to teach the young man a lesson, informing the police that he wanted them to ‘throw the book’ at him.
However, he later reconsidered when Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) approached, as he hoped such a move would result in his son seeing him in a nicer light.
Of course, his plan failed, as Tim made clear he didn’t want to be in his dad’s company.
Daniel will therefore be forced to pay Geoff back the money, and issue him with an apology.
Will everything go to plan? Or will Geoff backtrack and take revenge?
Coronation Street continues Wednesday September 30 at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on ITV.
